Launching a Game or Campaign

I have looked around a bit but have not found a specific list of everything a GM should do before launching a campaign on Roll20.  I have years of experience creating and running games in person, but this format is a bit new to me and I don’t want to miss any important steps before launching a Roll20 campaign. I will list the things below that I am aware of, but I would be interested in the input of others for steps I might be missing. I would also like to know which Roll20 resources everyone considers essential to be successful (Players Handbook, Monster Manila, etc). Eventually I am sure I will want to run other game systems, but for now I am focused exclusively on D&D 5e. The steps I am aware of include: 1. Create the game and make sure to select the proper character sheet 2. Set up maps 3. Set up NPCs and monsters (and pre create tokens)  4. Create macros 5. Create player material 6. Recruit players  What am I missing?
Be careful you don't make the list seem too onerous. We want to encourage new GMs to take up the job, and encourage in-person GMs to transition to online play. If your list of "important steps" is too long, it can be a big hurdle. Honestly, you can run a successful campaign with just pen and paper, physical dice, and a video chat. I'd encourage GMs just to start there. Once you're comfortable there, and your group has successfully transitioned to playing online (or you have recruited a group), then consider adding the next thing. So I'd suggest you break up the journey of running a campaign into Bare Minimum, Basic, Medium, Advanced, etc.
Thanks, Andrew.  I think that's good advice.  But I also want to become proficient sooner rather than later.  So any guidance on obvious things I've missed in my list will be most appreciated. One thing I think I'll do is create some sort of communication with all of the settings, macros to install, and house rules for players to consume before they join.  That maybe a "session 1" where we just go over the rules, macros, settings, and build characters/establish backgrounds and motivations and connections, etc.
