Greetings fellow GMs.... It's time to get actively excited! The GM Academy is proud to present the community with our Monday Night Coffee Hour. This is where GM's, new and old, come together to ask GM related questions and learn from each other. Whether you're thinking about running your first game as a GM and have questions about the basics or you're an experienced veteran of tabletop RPG seeking that elusive bit of wisdom, this is the place to be and get live feedback from your fellow GMs. Common topics: Game mechanics, and how to use them or when to ignore them How to better use Roll20 in your sessions I am having this [fill in the blank] issue how can I overcome it. ***This weeks GMA Coffee Hour will be Monday 2nd of June @ 7PM-8PM Pacific - Host Liloki*** Due to the increase of interest in the GMA Coffee Hour as well as to lay a foundation for future plans we will be moving our Coffee Hour to a new platform: Teamspeak! And that means we can open it up to the general public. So, if you happen to already own this FREE and very useful program, feel free to add the GMA to your bookmarks. Our TS Server: yourgmacademy.teamspeak3.com If, on the other hand, you do not have or know how to acquire Teamspeak our beloved Keaggan has created a lovely tutorial, but first you need the link to teamspeaks official site for the download. GMA Code of Conduct: Common Courtesy It is expected that all discussions here will have a tone of respect. While the members of our community are growing rapidly in number, it remains important to us that all discussions remain intelligent and amicable. There will be no tolerance for person-based attacks or passed judgment (be it on issues ranging from gameplay to lifestyles). This does not mean that discussion is disallowed -- only that it is to be constructive. Civil Discussion When conducting yourself within the community we ask that your contributions be centered around adding to our community in an intelligent manner. Trolling, whining, passive aggression, and intentionally unclear or misleading statements are not welcome. Further, while the GMA is intended for adults, we ask that you respect everyone's sensibilities and keep the content somewhat clean. Please Stay Open Minded: There are many different views and practices in RPGs and there is seldom a right or wrong. Some are more or less applicable in certain situations, but be respectful of differing opinions. Please Stay Concise: Don't monopolize the time. In order to do the most help within the hour, we need to keep input focused. Understand that the host of Coffee Hour might interrupt you if time is slipping away as we need to keep focused on helping all GMs with their questions or issues. After the initial hour we have an open chat where we can discuss the more time consuming questions or debate the answers given previously. Cooperate With Moderators 1. Please cooperate with moderators and DO NOT argue with them in public . 2. To report moderator abuse bring up your issue to another GMA Moderator or use the built in Teamspeak complain function if you are a member. Enforcement of this Code Use of the GMA Teamspeak is a privilege and not a right. By participating in the GMA Live community you are agreeing to abide by this Code. If you choose to disregard it, we will take appropriate action, including removal of your ability to participate in the community areas. This applies equally to both GMA Moderators and all GMs users of the GMA.
