Cliffnotes: Availability: Saturday evenings Time zone: EDT, New York time System: Pathfinder 2e Free games 34/M Novice/Intermediate player - Hey there! First time posting in these forums. I do apologize for the walltext, but far be it that I write two sentences of "looking for a game sat." Wordy me, I guess. Who I am, name's Blueoriontiger, or Janeil. Tabletop is a brand new experience for me the past nine months, but I've roleplayed via writing for about five years when I was in college (about 2009-2015). I currently do GM a game in the Call of Cthulhu system here, and am racking up some experience as a GM. I'm 34, a guy (Indian), and live in East Coast, USA. I'm a creative guy, and do art in a cartoon style, along with various bits of writing. Several months ago, I was involved with a homebrew Pathfinder 2e group, which was my first tabletop campaign. The game I was in was a sort of beginner campaign, and I had created a great character I was looking for to use in future games. Unfortunately the DM cancelled the game four sessions in (and just before the main boss fight) due to not having interest in the game, and shelved it for more modern-flavored, grimdark oriented games. I've been playing in these for several months now, and have had fun with people I now call friends to some degree. But I'd like to get involved in another game for a couple of reasons. Since we shelved the beginning campaign, we've not really played a generic fantasy game. I also never got to use my character again (an elven cleric/alchemist with a New York/New Jersey accent, accompanied by her holy pope mom). It's one of the characters I put the most thought into, and I feel bad that I can't play her again because she's not suitable for any of their dark-themed or modern campaigns. I also was starting to chronicle our sessions in general like journal entries, posting them on my blog for people to see my adventure in tabletop gaming through my characters' eyes (I'm a creative writer, and love writing about my adventures creatively). The DM and one of his close friends did not like this, and asked me to "stop writing or talking about our games and characters in public places". This last bit especially crushed me a bit, effectively after all the sessions I've played with them over the months. Which brings me here now. I'd like an open, friendly group that I can play with in the meantime until my normal games start back up, and who doesn't mind me chronicling my adventures through sessions in the form of creative writing/storytelling that I can share with others. I'm more into the roleplay than combat, but don't mind combat; I just don't like it as a focus/gauntlet. I'm probably into the more silly, light-hearted flavored games than a serious, worldwide epic where the world's going to fall apart. DnD is a social experience for me to have fun with other people, and share with other people what I experience. I'd like something that's in a US time zone that I can play most Saturday afternoons or later evenings (after 9-10PM). While not a requirement, I'd like to play with peeps closer to my age, as I am 34. I'm not able to join paid games currently, so I'm only looking for free sessions. I do Discord voice, and use Roll20 (obviously). This is something short-term as a stop-gap, and I'd like something I can float in and out of if needed, as I do work night shift currently. If it evolves into something long term, I'll be glad to discuss availability. - For character info, my character is a half-elf cleric by the name of Yorina, Level 3. Her deity needs to be adapted to Pathfinder 2e's standard system, but she has an alignment of Lawful Neutral. Her elven mom was plotted out as a backup character in case she died, and is Level 2 Lawful Good cleric that comes in the pope flavor of thee and thou. I actually have a shot of them below: - So, if this catches your eye and you'd love to give these two clerics a home, please reach out to me! I fully understand interviews and whatnot, and discuss rpghorrorstories all the time with the people I play with. Let me know if you have any questions, and I look forward to hearing from you.
