Dynamic Lighting Issues

Greetings Roll20. I am experiencing an infuriating issue with the dynamic lighting. I have watched videos and set up my settings to what I believe to be correct. here are my default game settings: below are my token settings for a particular map restricting sight.  which net me the response I want, at least while I am logged in to my DM account. Notice you see the limited sight bubble around the token, as I wish to have in a have smoke area. However, when I log into the game as a player, or Ctrl+L, or actually log in on my player account, this is what I get for the same exact token.... What am I doing wrong? Im thoroughly frustrated as I have been at this for days. I had other issues on other maps but I have managed to figure that out on my own, but his one is just not working... Please any help from the Roll 20 community would be great!
you are trying to use both systems. best bet is to disable the "Updated" and go with the legacy DL.
ok. how would one do that? I am super new to Roll20, if you couldn't tell.
turn everything in your top picture off.
thanks
This did not fix my issue. It didn’t change anything.
All the lighting shows it’s right as a GM. But as a player it’s just a blank screen.
Update after many hours of watching videos, checking forums, and asking for help, I think I finally got it. Seems the issue was the fact the token I would check was on the GM layer, which is what caused the black screen when checking the tokens sight with Ctrl+L. Once I put the token on the token layer it worked fine. So... I feel dumb, but problem solved!
