"Why is it so hard to find a DM" Sometimes it is just more fun to be a player. DMing long runs can be quite taxing on a single person (which is why when I do this with friends we rotate the role to keep things fresh but that is neither here nor there). You have to constantly elevate the challenge you put upon the players not only in a singular session but as the session numbers build they are going to expect fancier bells and whistles. You need to design fights, including terrain, monsters big and small, and of course LOOT! Set traps, and of course be ready for your entire design to be ignored because instead they wanted to go to the tavern for an evening bar fight. Of course with more experience in doing this it comes easier (one of the things I personally am working on as a DM). In general the player:DM ratio will forever be skewed no matter how many times the question is asked :3. Scour the web for other LFG sites (and of course try and pull the players here because hey, this tabletop rocks). But your best chance is either biting the belt and diving in to try it for yourself or keep eyes open like a hawk for DM's looking for players! Hell, try checking your local card shops and such and see if they do D&D nights (or your game of preference of course) Anyhow, Sadly I am a CST (-6) guy so I can't really help you time wise but you are welcome to swim through the forums and find a link to my campaign and if you find yourself able to make it with an open seat by all means come on in, even if it is for only 1-2 hours of the session. Happy hunting and may Insert Deity/Idol of Preference bless you. =D
