characters with dark vision and others without?

Hi all, im using the legacy lighting options and i wanted to know what exact options do i need my map and tokens on to enable dark vision for some tokens, and other tokens just using lighting from tokens? I changed my legacy lighting to the updated lighting and it worked but, it left a light source, a glitch, i cant get rid of and my dynamic lightning lines i made on walls to block light are very choppy looking and well, im scared of this happening on other maps ive spent  a long time on so, id rather not update right now.
The way i handled dark vision (which seems to work) is to make the token emit dim light out to their darkvision distance.  set the "dim light" start point at -5. That way the token will emit dim light for that radius, illuminating the map for them.

Also, if 5E D&D, darkvision characters should see twice as far in dim light, etc. from external sources, so you may want to reduce the emits light radius by half and set the "multiplier" to 2.

Ah, I might be getting my editions confused in my old age. Probably thinking of low-light vision from previous editions. Thanks, Alan!
