Ch. 38: More Maze Passages Are Explored And Another Holographic Head Room Is Found!

Sheila The Human Cleric Grieve Sheila is really messed up over Camlin's hand Kneels b4 Camlin and begs forgiveness   Balen The Human Bard Says, "Sadly We need that key to finish this maze"   Chris M.: Show me Key? (Shiela is not a potty mouth)   Balen: The key inside the pedestal, we need to figure out how to get it   Chris M.: we have maybe a 10% chance of getting that and a 90% chance of us all losing our hands   Balen: All depends on the die roller   Chris M.: anybody got telekinesis?   Balen: doubt it   Chris M.: doubt it and Ariel Srvant is 6th Level. So beyond me well. telekinesis is 5th level so we don;t have it we need to camp so I can swap out spells for locate Object   Balen: maybe mage hand   Chris M.: yes! It's a trap   Dungeon Master (GM): when balen looks up he sees the clear ceiling is clear of debris and dirt in spots in the lower corner there that some sunlight leaks down into the maze   Chris M.: detect traps   Dungeon Master (GM): ok yes   Chris M.: whatever I run in   Dungeon Master (GM): Ha! opps i should have checked first but there is a trap you see   Chris M.: i need to see ra! give me the damage   Dungeon Master (GM): yea the trap is right there   Chris M.: just give me the damage   Dungeon Master (GM): looks like you can go south then west there   Chris M.: So trap did not hurt/   Dungeon Master (GM): yes it hurt if you went through it   Chris M.: i was repared fr no save zap tell me how bad?   Dungeon Master (GM): it certainly would be death if you did even after your spell shows it's there   Chris M.: well. If it is the zap trap... I don't run through it   Dungeon Master (GM): ok   Chris M.: But anything i don't know? i run through it i need to see the light of ra! Bt you did not have to   Dungeon Master (GM): at least you tried something different   Balen: anything happen showing the bust to the face   Chris M.: Sheila waits   Dungeon Master (GM): no nothing happens for Balen well that was 2 of the acquired things   Chris M.: maybe try the bells again?   Balen: have the bust chalice in room ring non magic bell   Dungeon Master (GM): ok you go back to retrieve the chalice and show the head the chalice while ringing the bell but nothing happens
Chris M.: o well   Balen: dont remember what else we got we did not get the key   Dungeon Master (GM): just the bust, chalice and bells you ring a bell, the eyes opened   Chris M.: Can we get to Sunlit Room in safety?   Dungeon Master (GM): ringing again did nothing, showing the bust did nothing, simply showing the chalice and ringing did nothing, only spot where any sunlight came through was where the green rectangle is   Chris M.: Chris M.:Can we get to Sunlit Room in safety?   Balen: No   Chris M.: ok   Balen: Ring magic bell let it fall into the chalice and then run before it blows up, show the cup to the head.   Dungeon Master (GM): what have you tried doing with the cup before oh ok   The adventurers aside of Balen, leave the room to get out of the magical ruby’s fireball blast range. Balen then rings the magic bell to let the ruby fall into the golden chalice, while in front of the holographic face. Suddenly, Balen does not feel so good and needs to make a Saving Throw Vs Death Magic!   A fail means that Balen drops to the ground with 0 hit points, a save will mean he only winches in pain taking 10 hit points of damage, then runs out of the room, leaving the chalice and magical ruby behind.   Balen: CYA Next week :)   Dungeon Master (GM): ok then, we try to figure out the puzzle next week...you have the whole week to figure out what to try....you might be getting warm   Chris M.: Bye   Balen: G night
