Updated Dynamic Lighting: Can I Turn Off Enforce Line Of Sight?

If UDL is at feature parity with Legacy Dynamic Lighting...how do I turn off "Enforce Line Of Sight" in UDL? Thanks, Allen

Roll20 have really made the words "feature" and "parity" do some impressive gymnastics, haven't they? Maybe political speech-writing should be the next venture? That was the most polite way I could put it....

Hey Allen- Updated Dynamic Lighting has a more than a few changes which are a departure from the legacy system. Can you tell me more about specific effect you're trying to accomplish, and I might be able to help get you the translation to Updated Dynamic Lighting settings.
Hi, Kenton, Thank you for your reply. I want to create light barriers on the Dynamic Lighting layer. But I also want to allow tokens/players to see wherever there is light, whether or not there is a light barrier on the Dynamic Lighting layer. (Overall this will be part of my kluge to create a simulated Explorer Mode that keeps a record of squares revealed for for the party as a whole, rather than the actual Explorer Mode that keeps separate record of squares revealed for each player.) Thanks, Allen

That sounds like you might want to use the Light Crumb idea from the stupid tricks thread. https://app.roll20.net/forum/permalink/7539533/
Yes, Kraynic. I was planning to use a Light Crumb. But doesn't one need to turn off Enforce Line Of Sight to make light crumbs work? Or maybe if I set the light crumb to be controlled by all players, maybe that will be enough... Allen

Yes, this should work. Make a "light crumb" character whose default token emits the light you want, has sight , and is controlled by all characters. Then you can just drag the crumbs out from the journal as needed with no additional tinkering.
