The woods are grim this evening, the light of the moon shimmers, through the leaves overhead, down to the misty forest floor. As you make your way back to town you see a dim flickering torchlight, several hundred yards away, floating in the air. You make your way quickly yet cautiously through the fog. As you approach it the dancing blue fire beckons you to come closer and follow it. Will you come on this adventure? About the campaign: Oldwood is a homebrew story about a group of outcasts (the party) who must come together and solve the mystery of the oldwood to save their mythical feywild-like home. The characters in the story are all outcasts who ended up in the oldwood and were accepted there by the keeper of the forest. This allows the PC’s to be a variety of classes and races and still make sense. Besides the initial arc there are many more side quests and a very unique way of bringing the characters into different storylines, the campaign is very open-ended so it could be very long lasting. I’ve run a version of the campaign with two different parties. There’s a lot more world interaction and roleplay than in an average wizards of the coast module, with combat being more of a background thing. That was the case when I previously ran it anyway. I’m a pretty flexible DM and will change any aspects to make it more suitable to the players playstyle. The campaign will start at level 1 and will likely go to somewhere between 5 th and 10 th level. About me: I am an experienced DM and have a lot of joy in DM’ing, I’ve also been told I’m pretty good at it. I live near Amsterdam and so my time zone is GMT + 2 (UTC + 2) (EST + 6). I mostly DM although I have played almost every class. I have about 550 hours in roll20 and many more in real life. Practical information: The party will consist of 4 to 6 players (likely 5). This is a paid game and I’ll be charging 10 euros per session per person. The session 0 will be free though. The timeslot in which we’ll be playing in isn’t certain yet. But we’ll be playing once per week. We’ll be using discord for voice and roll20 for the environment. This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of 10 euros per session per player via PayPal. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements. If you’re interested please do not be afraid to respond to this post or direct message me! Everyone is welcome.
