Looking for a group - DnD 5e

Hi, I am completely new to DnD or any role playing game for that matter. I've never played it but I am quite keen on trying it out. I'll be watching a few videos on how to play it so I don't sound completely ignorant while playing the game but would appreciate it if someone shows me the ropes for the first time. I learn quick, so I won't be too much of a weight to carry around. Thanks in advance.

I'm running a game saturday 11pst.  The party is overseeing the town of Midsburg, a research outpost established at the edge of the Spine mountain range.  Characters are 27 pt buy, starting at 10th level, all official and most homebrew races/class are allowed.  Interested?

Hi Jacob, I might be interested in joining your game. by overseeing, do you mean as administrators, or like the Town Heroes working with/for an NPC mayor/ruler?
