Lighting and Visibility Issues

I have two oddities going on that I am not sure how to resolve: 1) It seems like all of a sudden my players can see items on the GM layer. I used Ctrl+L to view the map as a player token. Notice the visible 2B and the T symbol on screen. Those "items" are on the GM layer. This player token is on the token layer. This is on a game that has not been run through the dynamic lighting conversion tool and is using a combination of Advanced Fog of War, legacy Dynamic Lighting, and token vision settings. Been around two months since my group played unfortunately (thanks pandemic), but this was not an issue before. 2) When making a copy of my game and running it through the updated dynamic lighting conversion tool (or even when starting from scratch and applying the new lightning system), the explorer mode does not seem to function properly. Notice in the first image how the area between sections of the map are 100% dark. Where the token currently is (with night vision) they can "see" what is around them lit up. Areas they have been to before but cannot currently see are still visible to them, just grayed out (advanced fog of war). The following image is from a brand new game where the token has not been anywhere except where I dropped it. They can 1) still see the trap from the GM layer. 2) The entire map is visible to them even though they have not been anywhere else. I grabbed a larger area in this one. Rooms the token has not visited, the in between sections, and even an entirely different section of the map they shouldn't know exist are all visible now. Not sure what I am missing here, but any insight would be greatly appreciated! Still rather new to the platform so hopefully I am not missing anything absurdly simple here.

Even though you are using Ctrl-L, you are still the GM and see the GM Layer. Ctrl-L is intended more for judging L ine of sight (hence the L). The best way to test "what will the players see?" is to set up a second (free) Roll20 account and join your game with that account. Thanks! That appears to be accurate for the items on the GM layer (had one of my players log in and go to a map they'd already been to); Things look good for them, so I guess I had simply never noticed before. For item 2, however, I think things simply are not working properly. Using CTRL+L sometimes they see the entire map, sometimes they don't. Refreshing to reload the page gets me mixed results. I haven't seen it malfunction yet on the player account, so it is possible this is just a GM visual issue. Worries me a bit, but if it is in fact isolated to me, not a huge deal. Now just fighting tooth and nail with how it functions on Mac and within Safari.

As for the second issue, I believe that the Explorer Mode "revealed areas" map is player-based, not token-based. Not sure on that one, but I think that if any tokens you control have seen something, it is the same for any other tokens you control, even brand new ones.
