Roll20 Interface intermittently stops working

I get periodic moments of nonresponsiveness from the Roll20 app on any computer I use, regardless of OS version. They generally last 30 seconds to 1 minute, and the rest of the computer, including any other tabs in my browser continue to work. I get this issue whether or not I have other tabs open. Windows 7 AND Windows 8 (8.1) I can get the exact specs on the computers later, I'm posting from an iPad at the moment. This does not affect the players in the campaign (I'm the GM). Does not affect all computers logged into the account. I tried running the interface on both of my computers simultaneously to be able to interact at all times. Both had moments of nonresponsiveness. It was cumbersome, but worked. One was on wi-fi, one was hard LAN cabled. 10 Mbps cable internet. 2.5+ GHz quad core processors on both computers.

Is this happening while running a brand new campaign? If not, do you have a lot of content in your current campaign? Large page sizes? Lots of graphics?
I haven't tested it with a new campaign. This happened in each of my sessions over a four week period, and during prep work. It happened on large pages and small pages, lots of detailed graphics and much less detailed (I don't tend to run pages made with just the draw tools, but will be tomorrow night). I have deleted a lot of the pages it happened on. The page selection bar can get rather crowded and hard to navigate when you have 20+ tiles available. Thank you for the response. I love how this site is run, and am looking forward to subscribing shortly.

This sounds like a pretty busy campaign. What you might want to try is archiving pages/characters/handouts that you're not planning on needing for your next session. After doing that and you still have issues, the next step is temporary cleansing your chat log. Go to your Settings tab on the sidebar and scroll down to "Clear Current Chat Log". This is a temporary cleanse and the chat log will return if you reload/refresh the campaign. A long running campaign can actually get pretty bogged down by its own chat log history.
I have six or seven tiles left after the great purge of...oh, last week. I clear the chat log after every session, and sometimes in between. We use Ventrilo for chat, so about the only thing in the chat log is dice and private conversations. I'll run my session tomorrow night, and see if the issue crops up again. I'll post with more specifics if it does. If not, it was probably something having to do with my crazy ambitious campaigns. Space Western Pathfinder will do that to you.

Knocking on wood for you, Gregory. You also might want to take a look at your console log if you get any more persistent hiccups. If you still have issues when you run your session again, post again in this thread and we'll do some more troubleshooting.
Thanks! You people make my life so much easier. I don't know how I'd get my social gaming fix without a good, system agnostic VTT.
I only had one instance of the problem last night. It was fairly brief. If it continues this way, it's perfectly acceptable. Hiccups happen.
