LOOKS LIKE WE'RE FULL! Have a great day and stay safe!! (My next planned game day one-off will be White Wolf's Aberrant. I don't have a date yet but I know it will be on a Saturday. ) Game Day With the Star Wars: Edge of the Empire! Start Time: 9:00 AM PDT / 4:00 PM GMT Duration: 5 hours, +1 hour optional buffer, if needed to finish. Voice: Voice and sound will be run on Discord Everything Else: Roll20 is used for everything else: character sheets, maps, handouts, some music, and sound effects Players: 2-5 It's time to socialize and take a break from the news. Normally I put it up to a vote, but this time, it's my choice. And I picked Star Wars, Edge of the Empire , by Fantasy Flight Games; so that's what we're playing -- this Saturday. And You are welcome to join us! Again, this is a one-time session, a relaxing game day to have some easy-going fun and to socialize. We'll be using the introductory adventure, Escape from Mos Shuuta, which is designed to ease everyone into FFG's novel RPG system. If you're interested in the introduction story to this multi-part adventure, being as this is Star Wars, that should be a crawl, right? You can Read the Introductory Crawl that sets up the story if you wish. And though I think that this adventure is more than enough to fill out the allotted time, I will have the next adventure in the story prepped, in case it is needed. I have to say that I'm very excited to be finally running this novel game system. Like many experienced DMs, I have shelves of game books, including a stack of FFG's RPG line, but haven't had a chance to run one of FFG's -- until now. As always for my games, the primary rules for interaction are courtesy, patience, acceptance, tolerance, and having respect for everyone. Newbies are welcome. Games are always free. Having the rules is never required. And for one-off social games like this, characters will be provided. All you need to do is show up, ready to have some fun. For those that would like to know more about Fantasy Flight Games' novel RPG system for all their Star Wars settings, I recommend going to their showcase page . Or you can read a review, like this one. In any case, those are optional steps and are not required, merely provided for the curious. There's no need to buy anything. And again, we'll be making use of pre-made characters to make it easier on everyone. You just need Discord, and a Roll20 account, both free.
