I’m looking to get a group
established for the upcoming release of D&D Next. We’ll start with a short
campaign of my own design using the latest playtest packet. I’ve pre-ordered
the Starter Set due to be released in early July and we can decide as a group when
it arrives whether we’ll continue in my campaign or start running the adventure
included in the starter set (Lost Mine of Phandelver). My ultimate goal is to be up to speed on Roll20 and
D&D Next by the time the Player’s Handbook is released in August. At that
time we’ll reset with new first level characters using the Player’s Handbook to
take on the Tyranny of Dragons campaign by Wizards, starting with Hoard of the
Dragon Queen.
This will be a weekly game,
Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. Chicago time (GMT-6 with no daylight savings time,
GMT-5 with). Sessions will be about 3 hours long or until someone has to log
off. It would of course be on Roll20 and I’d be using Skype for voice chat.
First session will be June 18 th for a short meet and greet, Q&A,
character creation rolls, and to work out any potential kinks with Skype, etc.
