[LFG][D&D 5E] - Weeknight / Weekend ~7pmCST - Every other week

Moderately-experienced D&D 5E player looking for group to play around 7pm weekdays / weekends, every other week. I am a courteous, organized, punctual, and dependable guy when it comes to gaming groups. I have the right books, materials and equipment, and I understand how to play respectfully over Roll20. No screaming kids in the background, and no potato chip crunching! Flexible on race / class.. I just wanna play in a competent, steady group! I like roleplaying and 'getting in' to my character! I like writing backstories, love to draw, and love the world of D&D! Could use a refresher in character creation, but after that I'd be good to go. I'm a fast learner! If this sounds interesting to you and if you'd like to talk further about starting or joining a group, let me know. Thanks!
I'd be interested in joining up.  A forever DM that's looking to play a character for once.  I can also DM, I would just rather not be the sole one if it's a campaign.  I would gladly fill in for a one shot if the DM can't make it or we want to switch it up but it can be difficult to keep from spoiling some major plot themes I fear.  Flexible on race, don't really care.  Just looking for a little role play and a lot of adventuring.

Hopefully we can find a DM. I've done a little DMing in the past, and I don't mind doing it, but I'm like you - I'd rather play a character. I'd love to find a group that's 'in it' for the long term, whether it's official D&D campaigns, homebrew, or a little of both! I'll keep an eye on this thread and hopefully something will materialize. Thanks!
I think the perfect group would be a team of Forever DMs who alternate DMing every story arc/# of sessions etc. I would join that group if everyone agreed to DM. I used to balk at DMs charging for their time but now I think good on them, DMing is work. Being just a player isn't.

It takes a special person who will commit to DMing, especially without charging! I, for one, am not that person! However, I wouldn't mind doing it for a while.

For the record, I wouldn't charge either unless I was the sole DM and I had the entire campaign all prepped and ready to go on Roll20 beforehand. IMHO if you're going to treat it as a business I don't think you can tell you players "sorry no game next week I need time to prep". With some luck maybe we can put together a Forever DM Group if we can get a couple more DMs.

I hadn't logged on to Roll20 in a while after my last group disbanded, and the amount of Paid GMs is substantially bigger than it was a few years ago. I mean, I get it.. DMing isn't easy and some people want to be paid for their time and effort. But 5 years ago it seems that paying a DM wasn't even a thing! Again, not that I'm disagreeing, it's just that the times are a changin'. And now with COVID, it's even harder to get an organic group together, even though tabletop RPGs seem more popular than ever! Let's hope we can get something going!
ive been trying to find a dm for my group of 4 for a long time now and its such a struggle so i feel yalls pain
Only DM'd so far in my life... I would be super interested in following a rotating DM schedule and building a collaborative story arc... Sounds cool!
