Why does it always automatically scroll to the bottom?

When I click on a new forum thread, the link always takes me to the bottom of the page. Then I scroll up to the top and start reading. Why? What makes it always start at the bottom and how can I change it?
That's most likely going to be a browser issue on your end. I've encountered this one or twice in my corporate environment. I would suggest troubleshooting by checking your browser's add-ons, starting your browser in safe mode, and trying alternate browsers to check if the issue can be reproduced.

Also, for quicker scrolling, there's always the "Home" and "End" keys on your keyboard.

That's how the forum's designed. Once you click on a thread and loads, it will then jump to the last post. It assumes that you're a repeat visitor to the thread and are only interested in reading the latest posts.
It would be better if it took you to the last post you read, but sadly we don't have the functionality yet. :-(

No, it's a "feature" of this particular forum software.

One person suggested to use the back button but if you just posted or clicked on a link from another thread, it takes you back to pages you have no interest in at that time.

Thanks, guys :)

Phones and tablet operating systems have the "go to top of page" interface.. For example on Apple devices, you double-tap the top line (up where the clock shows) and a webpage will auto-scroll to the top, like Home key.
