Looking for someone to ease me into this

Hi. I'm new here and I have no clue what to do. I would like someone to be my teacher who can give me all the ins and outs of some games. I can make stories on mass, so that is not an issue for me. So, please. Help me out here.
Are you looking to learn the Roll20 interface or specific RPG systems like D&D NEXT, Pathfinder, Shadowrun, etc
I dont really know. I'm new to tabletopgames(With an exception to warhammer 40K). I just want to kearn a tabletop game that would be great for beginners.
Pathfinder is one of the most common systems, but it's not super-accessible for the newly initiated. DawnForgedCast does a decent series of tutorial videos, starting with : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=77nb34DB6Gs Paizo (provider of Pathfinder materials) also provides the ruleset openly: http://www.d20pfsrd.com/ Actual Dungeons and Dragons is more closed source, but materials are out there as well if you look hard enough. Keep an eye on the Looking for Group forum. Very frequently you will find GM's offering tutorial or 'newbie' games specifically to help new people get into the genre and learn how to play one system or another. You'll find the Roll20 community in particular is extremely helpful and open to answering any questions (though more specific questions are easier to answer).
Mr. Critical, you may also want to check out this thread: https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/920084/new-to-ro... Our intrepid moderator Kristin has produced a "crash course" series of videos to help people get started using Roll20.
David at table topping has a wonderful series on Roll20. Though he lacks videos on API and Character sheets creation. I have been toying with the idea of making a video series on getting started with making sheets and API scripts, but my wife and daughter are noisy all the time, and my mic is a Kinect array that picks up a mouse farting a mile away.

I made some posts on how to use Roll20 as a player on my old blog. They're a bit old, but most of it should still be helpful. http://kartoukosa.tumblr.com/tagged/tutorial
