One shot - Desert Mystery Horror - GMT time Zone The Stone Circle Hi all, I am running a one-shot to try out an adventure.  Time: GMT evening, probably a  Wednesday evening although I'm flexible aside from Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday. System: Mythras, was RuneQuest 6, similar to Call of Cthulhu (same BRP family). Knowledge of rules is not necessary and in fact I would like to try this out with newbies rather than old hands. Setting & Tone: Fantasy, homebrew world, Bronze-age level of technology, magic, some horror elements. Please reply here if you are interested. Pregen Player Characters: Hawa An experienced hunter and tracker of the Abayd desert, Hawa is on the trail of her kid brother. While she was away crossing the salt flats her brother was stolen away by a gang of bandits. She doesn't know who they are, or what they want, but she does have a very particular set of skills, skills she has acquired over the years hunting across the desert and savanna, she has sworn to find these bandits, and when she finds them, she will kill them. Baboloki Baboloki  is a snake animist from a desert tribe to the east. She is an exile, having broken one of the taboos of the tribe.  Baboloki  carries with her three spirits bound into her   jewellery , all are snake spirits which can manifest different traits of the serpent - stealth, strength and heat vision. Baboloki  knows a number of folk magic spells she learned as part of her animist training. Like all members of the tribe she knows how to hunt and fight, if not as well as a hunter or warrior. Travelling north west along the trade route, she is on a path to attain greater spiritual knowledge and power, ever curious to expand her knowledge of the supernatural and the plants that fuel her visions into the spirit world. Siddiqi .  An educated man of Saban, a scholar, an adventurer, a sailor and a tomb robber. He is always interested in acquiring promising charts of lost treasures. His studies have given him some knowledge and ability with minor magics. He is travelling in the hope of selling his services to a wealthy patron. Better at keeping out of trouble rather than getting into it, Siddiqi uses an archaic and overly flashy fighting style which marks him out as something of a dilettante. Sapper Dev Dev is a former marine of the Shenlan Navy. They were part of a small scouting unit mapping the Greater Hardara Delta further to the south. Their unit was disbanded a month ago and curiosity has driven them to seek out the rich merchant cities of the north. Dev loves gadgets, equipment and especially explosives. They carry a 2-shot Fire Lance which has proved useful for frightening the Kurgan Yamna natives and a few monsters. The slow loading Fire Lance doubles as a spear, having a detachable firing head. The lance takes 12 Turns to reload making it impractical to reload during a typical fight. Dev also carries a Hook Sword, thick bronze knuckle dusters and 2 Naptha grenades. Vadasz A Kurgan Raider from the far south, Vadasz is used to a colder and darker climate. Conflict with the armies of Shenlay has drawn him further into the north. No longer a defender of Kurga, he seeks his fortune in the employ of the rich merchants of Hadara. A follower of the southern storm god Ama-Ugu , his priest gifted him with an enchanted Thunder Flint Arrow stashed in his quiver for emergencies. At the start of a combat Vadasz can manipulate Initiative by using his Lore (Tactics) skill. If he succeeds his roll he can boost either his or one of the team's initiative by 1d6.
I'd like to play Sapper Dev
I think a few of these characters seem like they'd be interesting to play, but I think I'd like to try playing Baboloki.
Hello Bilharzia! I would be quite Hawa would be my choice, as Baboloki is already chosen! But no worries about it. I just need to know the hour of the session and which GMT is it going to be, I don't think there is much to be worried about it but I think having a clear defined hour would be helpful (My guess is you are deciding it with everybody availability)
Hi, found my way here from reddit; Siddiqi sounds like a lot of fun to play!
Hi! If there are still open spots i'd like to join, I've always wanted to try Mythras. I can take Vadasz :)
Still looking for suitable players.
