Looking for Player 4e D&D

Hey guys, Our group has a guy moving to an area of poor internet for the summer, so we're looking for a temp to fill his spot to get back to a 5 person party. While this will be primarily on a temporary basis, if we have fun playing with you we're absolutely on board to keep a 6th player on when he returns in some months. The role he played was Striker, but really pick whatever role you feel like playing, although keep in mind that with another defender might slow down encounters, but really, the choice is yours. We play every week on thursdays, from 6pm-9pm PST, (9pm-12am EST, 3pm-6pm HST), so obviously that's the day you'll have to be available. Our group is mostly university-aged men, but we're open to any kind of person, but would prefer a person of at least 16, because we do like to have fun and use "adult" language, so a basic level of maturity is required. To get an idea of our playstyle, we have a mix of people who prefer combat over RPing and people who like both RPing and encounters. We speak Out of Character frequently, but also like story, role playing, and the more non-mechanical aspects of D&D. All books are allowed for building/leveling characters. We're using a homebrew campaign that's mostly modeled after Forgetten Realms with a little Dark Sun thrown in. I have a larger document with the campaign setting and its nuances if you're going to be playing with us, so you can better create your character, but here's a basic run down: Races: Dragonborn, Elves, Humans, Half-Elves, Orcs, Half-Orcs are all common races. Most others exist, but are uncommon, if you really want to play a weird race, I'm open to working with you to determine their place in the world. Classes: All classes are allowed, but an important note is that sorcerers and those born with innate magical ability are very infrequent. Magic users who gain their magic through study, such as wizards, or pacts, such as warlocks, are far more common, however. Synopsis: Long ago, the ancient empires of Nerath and Arkhosia were at war, and the war ended up consuming them both. In present day, a human empire has been built out of the ruins of Nerath and is attempting to subjugate the other nations to its will. A group of these kingdoms formed an alliance to protect their interests, and a great war between the two sides ensued. They were both beaten to a stalemate, and a tentative truce was called, with both sides ceding territory to form a large neutral zone. The game takes place in this world of tentative peace, where most villages and towns throughout the neutral zone are just trying to get by without being killed by bandits, and are doing whatever they can to avoid being wrapped up in the politics of either the Alliance of Kingdoms or the Empire. That's a real basic, short look at the campaign setting, like I said, I have a much larger document if you're interested. Anyway, that should be all the information you need to determine if you're interested, please private message me if you are. I'll be checking this forums to answer public questions people might have, but if you just express interest on the forums I can't promise I'll see it. Information I'd like from you: If you're interested and available to play on thursdays at the specified time. Your experience with 4e (We're open to new players, but are pretty far into the heroic section of the campaign, so we would prefer those who already know how to play) And, if you already have a character concept in mind, what that character concept is. This would be a good time to mention that evil characters probably won't be allowed. I don't want the campaign to be about your character fighting the other party, and while none of the party is currently lawful good, they aren't evil either. (This is a good time to mention that your alignment is really only a guideline for me so I know what kind of things your character might be interested in doing, how closely you stick to your alignment is all up to you, I won't penalize you for following the law if your character is chaotic good.) Hope to hear from you guys soon.
Edit: Preference will be given to players who believe they can have a character ready to play by next week.
I can have a character ready. Option 1 is a Dwarf Ranger (striker) Option 2 is a Dwarf Paladin (defender) adn Option 3 is a Human Invoker (Contoller) What Level? PM if you want/need more details
Hey Connor, still have a spot open? We played together awhile ago in Darcy's campaign. I may be able to swing that timeslot. I'm sure I could come up with a character before Thursday.
Still got a spot open? I'm pretty experienced in 4e, thinking of playing a Seeker.
