Reveal areas on map hidden by illusions

Hi, I bought a module recently from the Marketplace that has a particular battle map with several areas hidden behind illusionary walls. In the default state of the map, the hidden areas are complete obscured. When I look at the THUMBNAIL of the page, the hidden areas are visible but on the page itself with the characters and icons, those areas are not visible.  If the characters kill or banish the character creating the illusions then the walls should disappear revealing the hidden areas. I can't figure out how to reveal the hidden areas that I can see in the thumbnail. Advice much appreciated, I'm looking to DM this on Friday. Thanks!
It would help if you listed the name of the module, as there might be several ways of creating this effect. The two ways that immediately come to my mind: 1. The illusions are images that are on the GM layer, and when they are supposed to be revealed, you as the GM would simply move them to the map layers  2. The map image is a token with multiple sides, and when the illusions are going to be revealed, you as the GM would simply switch the side of the token.
Thanks Jarren. It's  O, Wintry Song of Agony from War of the Burning Sky.  It's a map labeled as The Eye.  Jarren K. said: It would help if you listed the name of the module, as there might be several ways of creating this effect. Taking a quick look, it appears that the illusion itself is hard backed into the map, but the area can be revealed by going into the Dynamic Lighting layer and moving the DL blocking line, similar to how most doors are handled.

I'm a beginner at DMing on Roll20, so I'm not exactly sure how to do that, but I'll see if I can fiddle around with a copy of the page and make that work. Thanks so much for the suggestion!

Ok! I think I got it, although I'm not exactly sure how I did it. When I went into the Dynamic Lighting Layer, at first I could only see the illusionary lighting line, which was red. But then I hit one of the buttons that brought up a menu...I'm not sure which one now that showed a green outer line behind the illusion. When I went in and selected the red area I was able to delete it and leave only the outer green area. Then when I dropped a character on the page, his darkvision lit up the whole area beyond the illusion, he could see the entire space. The only thing I can't figure out as I was fiddling around is what I did to see the outer green line at the actual walls. Oh wait, I tried again and figured it out. The outer green one was always there it was just a "thin" line so I couldn't see it. It was nearly invisible against the grey. When I switched it to "large" all of a sudden I could see both the red and green lines. Thanks for the help!!!

Some folks make wall lines thin and door lines thick to make the doors easier to select. They are the most likely to be moved during the course of play. Since you are Pro, there is a really great API script called Door Knocker, which can automate this for you, but it's probably best to learn the manual method first.

The green thin line just disappeared against the dark grey rock color until I clicked that thickness dropdown (trial and error) and then I could see it. It was also confusing to me because I couldn't see the hidden areas in DM mode until I dropped a Player icon onto the page and then the dynamic lighting paths showed up illuminating the hidden area. Now I feel ready for kicking this off tomorrow. Thanks again!
