Something to try: Turn off autofill and autocomplete. This is a known issue with text entry lag on Firefox.

I normally use a browser plugin to do my autocomplete, so it should be turned off already unless I'm missing something: https://i.imgur.com/EDzLhNc.png

Is the plugin disabled? Although I don't really understand why password & login autofill would be an issue. I've never bothered turning mine off and FF has never tried to insert my login details into a sheet. Wouldn't someone need to very intentionally put a type="password" into a character sheet input to get autofill to do anything? I'd hope that would be reported on the Marketplace, though I don't buy any non-official stuff.
@Oosh Yep! I missed a word in my original post, I confirmed this occurs when all plugins are disabled.

Hmmm... no API scripts running? My browser-innards knowledge is insufficient... Does it happen in only one game on R20, or does this happen in a new game with a random character sheet as well?
Just did a quick test and it is reproducible in an brand new campaign with the character sheet set to None and no characters created. Just dragged in the first freebie asset in the list, copied it 40 times, and followed the steps.
I'd like to throw my name in too that I am also having this issue on Firefox.

I just reproduced this bug exactly based on FinalFrog's steps with a (virtually empty) game on Firefox with about 25 tokens. I can confirm that it does not occur if I open the game in Chrome. This game didn't even *have* a character sheet or any journal entries. I have been getting this bug on all sorts of maps in my D&D game, although noticeably more on my larger megadungeon maps. This issue eventually slows down ALL text entry, not just on tokens. However, switching to Chrome seems to abate the issue. I seem to recall switching to Firefox in order to try and solve this issue about when it started about six weeks ago, but perhaps I'm misremembering why exactly I switched.
