Drag and Drop Npc No longer shows token

I was setting up new spell templates using NPCs and creating a token for it and I can't get them to create the tokens when dragged and dropped from my journal. I believe I am doing all the steps correct. I am associating the token with the NPC character. I have tried removing it from the char bio and adding it again. I also went back to my other game that had spell templates that I used last night and they seem to be also not working. Is there a bug? Could something on my account changed? Not sure what it could be I have tried like 10 times.

Weird. I went into the character edited it, saved but changed nothing. Then dragged and dropped it once at it worked but the 2nd time (and after) it did not.

It seems to be working once in awhile. but most times not.

Are you editing the character so that the character is using your properly associated token as the default token It's a two step process: Set token to Represent Sheet. (Also set its size and any other customizing) Tell sheet to use that token as its default token. They must be done in that order.

I believe so. - I set up my token - Associate token's character (in the token settings) to the NPC. - Then in the char bio (I delete the old one) and use the new selected token. I believe that is what you are saying

That should work. Do you have any extensions running that might interfere?

What does appear when you drag from your journal? Just to eliminate the obvious, you are dragging from the name and not the handle, correct?

That's it!!! I didn't know that dragging by the handle was different!!! Thanks a lot!!!

Cool! It's not immediately obvious, but dragging by the name drags something to the VTT, the handle is used for changing the order of an item in the list.
