LFP - Warhammer 40k 8th Edition Tabletop Group - Waaaaaggghhhh!!!

Hello friends! In the grim dark future of the 41st millennium there is only war! Waaaaaggghhh!!! Maybe you heard a bunch of folks shouting that at the mall, maybe you were one of the ones shouting it. Either way, Warhammer is awesome and deserves to be played! I have gotten a little group together of curious newbies and seasoned veterans to play Warhammer 40k 8th Edition here on Roll20 and we would love to have more members! Whether you're a total newbie or a vet yourself, there is room for you here.  For those of you who have no concept of Warhammer 40k whatsoever, it is a fantastic tabletop wargame set ~40,000 years in the future when the Imperium of Man has spread across the galaxy, yet is beset on all sides by absurdly powerful foes. Everything in the 40k universe is stupidly overpowered except when compared to the next thing in the 40k universe. It's bonkers. And it's so much fun. The game itself involves building an army list (a similar sort of satisfaction to crafting a dnd character or a Magic the Gathering deck), moving around squads of infantry, tanks, monsters, psychic sorcerers, literal gods, etc, shooting things into oblivion, and hacking and slashing them into the same. It's all very bloody and fun.  Shoot me a message if you'd like to join! We've played half a dozen games so far and worked out most of the Roll20 kinks. This is also a fantastic way to try out army lists before buying and painting models IRL.

Just started looking at the idea of roll20 for tabletop wargames. I am a long time (WH40K 1st ed Rogue Trader 1987) player very interested in how this is done on Roll20. I played heavily during 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th editions, 8th looks good but I have never had the opportunity to play it.
Hey Ken, I am in California so I'm in Pacific Standard Time. Tobi, the other most active player is in Alpha Time Zone I believe.  Hello Sarge! I'd be happy to show you how we've been making it work. 8th edition also makes the game much more easily played on Roll20 as the rules have been much simplified. I only got into Warhammer around 4th edition, and then 5th came out slightly after. I'm quite curious what 1st was like.  Shoot me a private message and I'll give you the links to our Discord for scheduling things and the invite link for the Roll20 game.
Hey I’m interested in joining but I will be a complete noobie to the system, I do know the Warhammer universe to a point as I have played the dawn of war games and what not but I think this would be pretty cool to play
Hello! I've always been a fan of the WH40K universe, but never really got the chance to play. My time zone is CEST (Germany), but my schedule is really flexible. I'm a complete newbie to the game, but if you are still looking for people hit me up on my discord :) SkyWorld#4115
