
Looking for 1-2 more players for PF1E Rise of the Runelords, starting at book 3. Game is every other Monday at 7pm EST. Usually runs until 10pm EST, although we can run up to 11pm sometimes. Mid to light RP group. No camera required, voice chat is though (will send you the Discord invite upon approval). We do expect voice RP, you can type to RP if other people are speaking and you want to do some small RP in the background, or if you want to have a big inspiring speech. But most of the RP will be over voice chat. I've been playing PF1E for years, with small amounts of GMing here and there. I try to prioritize your fun and am not an antagonistic GM. I will not go out of my way to kill you unless the scenario directly calls for it. I am more than happy to help if you're new/unfamiliar with the system. This is an adventure path, so there is a bit of a railroad. But it's written well enough to make you want to ride it (imo), and I'd like to think there aren't really any extreme railroad moments that happen. I would like to know of any triggers you might have so I can make sure to alter anything that may be troublesome for you (I don't mind changing spiders to wolves or a haunt that causes you to harm yourself instead just directly damage you). I will say that book 3 of Rise of the Runelords especially has some... disturbingly gory imagery in it at a certain point. Rape is not a thing ever nor is it tolerated. Sex is not really a thing either, but if you must then it will be fade to black. We are LGBTQ+ friendly, and intolerance will not be tolerated. Give as much backstory as you want. I've been running the adventure path as written and then after every book (or if there seems like a relevant time mid book in the future), we do a bit of downtime. If you give me some backstory hooks, I can have relevant things happen during this downtime to make the world feel a bit more connected to your character. If you don't give me anything to work with, then I can't add anything for you - up to you on whether you care or not. On the other hand, maybe don't expect a 3 session long personal quest :) I will need some sort of reason to introduce your character to the group. If you're unaware, this book starts out in Magnimar after the group solved a string of murders plaguing both Magnimar and Sandpoint. The group will get roped into going to the Turtleback Ferry and then Fort Rannick to investigate the lack of communication with the soldiers stationed there. So just give me some sort of reason for you to be in any of those areas and some sort of reason to be willing to group up with the others. Any reason will do as long as it's sensible. Right now the group consists of an alchemist and dex magus. They do currently have a swashbuckler NPC babysitter, but said swashbuckler can move onto other things if we do find 2 candidates. No 3rd party allowed. We do have some house rules, mostly QoL stuff (elephant in the room, no food or water, etc). No crit or fumble cards. Pick any class/race with GM discretion. Note, bringing something uncommon may have some negative asocial consequences. Heavy emphasis on may. You are high enough of a level to get yourself a hat of disguise and that should take care of most of your problems. Also, this is Rise of the Runelords and is not balanced for anything extreme. So I'd prefer you not bring something known to be horrendously OP. But if you absolutely must, then limit yourself during combat to give others a chance to play. Bring Any non-CE alignment. You can be CE, but only if you've got a stable reason to not kill allies and helpful NPCs all the time. Although I don't know if this adventure really lends itself to any evil characters honestly...
