Journal Entry

What a mess. The Doom Vault is awful BUT I have to say this new bow and the gauntlets I have now made taking down enemies a bit easier. I am certain every word out of Edvald is a lie or has another motive if true. I have been around his type and know it is just a matter of time. The real question is if we can all survive this journey. Oh and I have to remember not to shoot any enemy who is under the control of a spell. Still embarrassed I did that. We did get one of the crystal keys but there are many more to find and I am starting to feel like this is another world down here. The idea of passing over in a place like this is bothersome and is making me reevaluate what is important. Perhaps after this I will send word to my sister just to check in, again, if I am still alive to do so.
we made it into the Doomvault, magically teleporting into a mess of undead led by a colleague of Edvald's.  We took care of them handily working well together in a confined space.  Next we found some humans and an elf being forced to fight a bird demon I'm told is a Vrock.  Again it was an appetizer leading to the main battle against  a vampire named Issen.  At first I thought he was another one like Edvald, but he was much more powerful.  If he hadn't been blinded by Thornduk (I think it was him, the battle was pretty fast and furious) we probably would not have beaten him.  We chased him back to his resting place where we fought weaker images of ourselves.  I took some hits from these things (which were called wraiths) while I figured out, with the help of Velios how to end this evil.  I forgot to mention that Issen had charmed Sonn into believing he was a friend.  Sonn is now having a crisis of conscience as he was compelled to fight against his friends to stop us from killing Issen.  Nonetheless, I got the job done with a javelin through the heart. We found a crystal that should help us get around this place.  Edvald says we should be quick as the defenses have been alerted.  I don't trust much he says, but in this I think he is right.
By the way, Kodiak now wants to be known as "Kodiak the vampire slayer".
Pilgrimage report oct 8th 2020 We entered the doom vault and engaged enemy hostiles. Including a beast that was preying on innocent civilians. Then we ended up fighting a vampire. That guy was annoying and really wigged out Sonn. But after a lot of effort we were able to send him back to his lair and kill him Also fought evil versions of us I swear ever day with this group is a new challenge, but hey we are doing a good thing so I will keep on doin it. Now our objective is to keep moving and to do so quickly. Wish us luck
