Pathfinder Beginner One Shot Tonight 3/20/13

Your hometown of Sandpoint is a quaint seaside settlement that periodically has problems with monsters, such as wicked goblins and hungry ghouls, but the citizens always manage to endure and survive. Lately, however, a far greater danger has come to threaten the town. A few weeks ago, livestock started to disappear from nearby farms. Sometimes a half-eaten corpse is found, sometimes only bloodstains. The people of Sandpoint are afraid, and mayor Kendra Deverin is growing desperate. She hopes some heroes will volunteer to search out this menace and put an end to it before it kills a person. She’s offered a reward of 1,000 gold pieces to the group that stops this mysterious creature. Although no one has seen the killer directly, a long black fang was found in one of the animal corpses, prompting the locals to dub the unseen killer “Black Fang.” Welcome to a world of exciting adventure, deadly monsters, and brave heroes! This is Paizo's Pathfinder Beginner's Box Set. This game will help new players get to know the game. All and any new comers are welcome. Here is how this will work. We will use Player Generated Characters. ( For those who don't know how to build a Character, a Pre-Gen Character can be supplied for any race/class. This will be a 20 point buy. Max Stat should be no greater than 18 and Min Stat no lower than 7. Standard Starting Gold Max HP Books allowed are: Players Handbook and Advance Players Handbook. Please no base classes, Archtypes are OK.  2 Traits are allowed. No monster races, drow, tiefling and so forth. Only Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Half-Elves, Halflings, Half-Orcs, and Gnomes Players should submit sheets via Mythweavers.com or by sending me their herolab files (ask for email) This game will be for 4 level one players. This is meant to be a one shot game. The purpose is help newcomers learn to play and to allow new members of Roll20 to get in some game time. Game will be starting at 8:30 pm EST. I ask you arrive by 8:15 to get settled so we may begin on time.  Game should be completed in four hours.  Voice chat is preferred.  If you have ran or played the beginner box, be fair. Allow the players who have not played it play.
Thanks, as always, to you and any GM willing to run introductory games. Any idea how long the session would last? I don't want to take up a valuable spot and duck out early, but I don't want to be up after midnight either (I turn into a gremlin).
I'd love to attend! I'm new to both this site and to Pathfinder, I just hope I will have learned how to join other games by the time it starts. Sorry, will not be able to make it tonight, please let me know if you're planning on running this again though.
Daniel its a four hour session so we should be done by midnight
So will you two be making your own characters? or would you like a PreGen?
I'll give it a shot with a pregen. Will be nice to simultaneously brush up on Pathfinder and roll20.
what race/class would you be interested in?
We still need a couple of players
Since you seem knowledgeable, mind opening a game to chat for a bit to discuss race/class options?
Complete and total newbie here, as in haven't played pathfinder or used roll20.net. Is there enough time for me to look at whatever would be required reading to get in on this game? I know the basics of tabletop rpgs but have never played anything past first level and I'm hazy on the specifics. If not that's fine, figured I'd ask though. ^_^
I could bring you in with a PreGen character to help you learn the ropes
Sounds great, I just didn't wanna be too much of a drag if I didn't know any of the specifics, I'll start looking at the rulebook now though. As for preference on class/race: I guess I'll go with something simple? Dwarven Two-handed Fighter if possible or something similar. EDIT: Oh are we going to be using the roll20.net voice chat or some other program?
Lets use the in game chat and see how it goes...Ill find you a character sheet
Still need two players!!!!! Come I know there are some who want to play!!!
Are you guys playing today?
Yes in about five min if you want in we are down one player!!!!!
Still have one spot open? I am new and need to learn how to play but I would love to play
I can play if you havent started. I have a team speak as well
I sorry to those who had missed the game but I will do this again soon.....Good job to all the players
Just wanted to chime. Played at the table. Great judge! High enthusiasm and energy, large amount of prep work showcasing the features and potential of Roll 20. Very enjoyable experience for novice or experienced player. Highly recommend! Thanks Mask
I also was a player, and definitely would recommend any player and especially aspiring GMs to get in on this session when it's run again. Well designed maps, traps, lore, and music.  GM is patient and fosters an environment of fun, learning, and dying.
