Players that previously left the games entirely are getting a Email ping from my games.

So a multiple number of players that left my game entirely that where playing previously in my homebrew games which are still running atm are currently receiving an Email stating the Next game will be .... that should only go out to currently active players. Is there a way to let them know how to shut that off or can I do it ? Or is this a bug since I have never had this issue before in 4+ yrs of using roll20

Further to this, Roll20 sent a burst of at least 6 emails in quick succession for my game with a 10 hour lead time. This email notification system is broken! I can’t find any way to turn this off for my game, but I have informed my players how to turn it off for their accounts, and I’ve turned it off for my account. Having this turned on by default is a monumentally stupid decision by someone at Roll20 and as a Pro subscriber I am furious about it. There’s a stream of Australian English invective which I have elided.

here is the place in roll20 to Opt Out or to reduce it to Daily summary of notifications. https://app.roll20.net/account/
Thank you for that Information, my previous an current players also thank you. I do not want to be spamming players that do not wish to receive emails. I have informed all that had played in my games of the require changes.

I still think Roll20 needs to look into this as a Bug and also improve the User Experience U/x overall on the email notification & game reminders. It's definitely a Bug if it truly sent emails to people who had actually clicked LEAVE GAME. It wouldn't be a bug, but is an unfortunate consequence, that the email is Opt-Out not Opt-In, and sends to ALL PLAYERS who are in the game unless they change the setting. That feature is tricky for me, being in game groups that have 20 players, but only signs up 4-5 people for each game session (a pool of players). Since it's not up to the GM to configure the recipient list, you can't choose to notify a subset of your players.

I had all site notifications turned off, and this “feature” ignored that and sent me a burst of 6 emails anyway. This thing is a dog’s breakfast of untested garbage.
