Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden campaign needing 2 US players Thursday Game 4pm EST

I am starting a brand new campaign of Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden very soon, possibly in 1-2 weeks time from this post, depending on how long it takes to find the last two players. The game will take place on Thursdays at 4pm EST. I will be running a session zero where the players will make their characters. The characters will either be from the ten towns or the surrounding areas or have been in the ten towns or surrounding areas for a while. I and the other players already present want the party to be cohesive and fitting to the story and themes presented in the story.  I also want the characters to make sense within the setting and locale the story takes place in. Tell me a little about yourself and your previous D&D experience. The game will feature a good mix of RP and combat so those looking for combat heavy games or RP-lite games might need look elsewhere. The end goal here is for everyone to have fun and I'm just looking for those i feel will be best suited for our game. I want everyone to have the best experience possible!
Hello, I am interested in joining your campaign. I have played D&D in various forms for probably 20 years. I am not a hardcore player. I am very familiar with general themes, etc., involved in these things but may need a bit of familiarization on specific rules. Whatever it is, I will pick it up quickly. It may take me a small bit of time to really get into character but I do like to RP. I am happy to be part of a cohesive group. I will generally have no problem going reasonably out my way to help, both in RP and IRL. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for your consideration.
I am very interested in joining, but is this a free or paid game?  I have been playing 5e for about 5 years, in both official modules and a homebrew Forgotten Realms campaign that has been going weekly throughout that time period. I put a lot into my characters in both their own stories and making them mesh with the world, and I already have an idea of a character I'd like to play for this module too, as I've been trying to get into a group starting it for a while. As a player, I get along easily with just about anyone as long as everyone is respectful and willing to communicate. If you'd like to know anything else, please ask!

What kind of idea do you have for a character that would mesh well within the setting of icewind dale and the ten towns?
This sounds very intriguing for me. I have playing D&D and countless other systems for about 26 years now starting with 2nd ed AD&D when I was 10. Recently been playing Exalted 3e but recently decided to come back to some good old fashion D&D. Most of my knowledge of Icewind Dale and ten towns comes from the old Drizzt Icewind Dale trilogy. As for character it will kind of depend on the group but I am thinking the 2nd child of one of the Chief of one of the Barbarian tribes, that is out to make a name for himself to ultimately make claim to the tribe over his older sibling. AS for class thinking I could go Barbarian or Sorcerer, or even a Warlock possibly.
