LF Players for Pathfinder Gestalt lvl 6 (GMT+1)

Hello good people and fellow roleplayers! Name's Matt , I'm 23 year old student of political science from Poland with - I hopefully think - quite good English skills - and I'm here to present you who I am (aside from I've what already said) and what I have to offer. So witthout further ado let's get this started :) What is my experience in roleplaying? As a player I've been participating in play by forum sessions at least for 7 or 8 years now and DMing some of them (one time it was even above ten at once, partially because their slow pace and the huge amount of free time I had). Only recently - and by that I mean max. 2 years - I've been digging into live roleplaying, mainly using Skype or Google Hangouts. Apart from several strictly storytelling and original world sessions I had a chance to play in: quite large amount of Pathfinder , some D&D 3.5 , also FATE , Powered by the Apocalypse ( Apocalypse World , Dungeon World , Monster Hearts and a lot of other fan made hacks) and tiny amount (means one, max. two sessions) of Numenera , Warhammer Fantasy and Call of Cthulhu . Even tho I think I might lack some experience, especially concerning DMing a live session, and I hope that few goodwilled, looking for fun (and i.e not arguing about the rules) players will want to try playing under me as a storyteller ^_^ What can I offer? Pathfinder session using Gestalt characters (starting on level 6) with really heroic point buy (18, 18, 18, 17, 16, 15 ;]) in a world created by me and constantly edited as the session goes on... It's construction will allow me and you - my dear players - to use it as a open table and/or treat it as a living world. Instead of looong campaigns that may, for example end because DM will be burned out or player will loose interest in playing further I'm seeking for somewhat resembling TV shows. We gonna have episodes , small arc's - stories set in constantly evolving world that may be finished in one to three sessions. Arc's may be tied up by some longer storyline in the background, but that's secondary matter. After arc is finished it's in the hand of players what they gonna do next - if they want a break and don't want to play on weekly basis (but if they want too that's completely fine by me :D), if they want to create new characters and have another story in other part of the world or...? Possibilites might be limitless :) So here's a short intro: An mostly uknown legend says that a long time ago gods and other powers that be created the world without a name, carefully closed off from other planes, acting as a prison for most dangerous beings and artficats gathered from all sides of the universe... Then, by reasons hidden in deep, dark place someone else gave a spark of life and thus beginning the process where Great Prison also became a Purgatory to humans, elfs, dwarves, orc, trolls, dragons and other races alike. Years, decades, ages passed while the world without a name was stricken by wars, magic disasters, famine, poverty, chaos and destruction... But as the saying goes: "nothing lasts forever". Soon, in different parts of the massive, still mostly unexplored world, representatives from wide variety of species banded togther and carved safe havens so they civilizations may flourish and expand still aware of the danger looking from all sides... And in this certainly interesting, vast and still dangerous world lives you - a being given power and knowledge about true purpose of this world with one rule and one rule only hanging above your head almost like executioner blade: that you won't reveal this secret to everyone. You can only guess the consequences of breaking it. As it turns out you are not the only one. A rather small, still mostly unknown and avoiding attention, adventurers guild called "The Eternal Wanderers" gathers all bearers of the forbidden knowledge and chosen by the powers that be. Their members constantly set out into this wild world. Will they see it as a playground, as a mean to fullfill their needs or will they wany to make it a better place? Only time will tell. You will begin in the land of Sidonia, one of these carved out safe havens, yet troubled from many sides... End of intro... Now proceeding into character creation : 1) Gestalt characters ( <a href="http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/gestaltCharacters.htm" rel="nofollow">http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/gestaltCharacters.htm</a> ) starting on level 6; point buy : 18, 18, 18, 17, 16, 15 2) Maximum HP at every level 3) No traits! 4) Starting wealth in gold and/or magic items: 20000 [ IMPORTANT NOTE : no item can cost more than 10000] 5) Alligment: almost everything goes (EXCEPT for chaotic evil) as long as people in the party will work together (they don't need to like each other), BUT most preferable option is having good characters 6) Classes: <a href="http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/classes.html" rel="nofollow">http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/classes.html</a> - everything from Core Rulebook, Adv. Player's, Ultimate Magic and Combat goes without say; if you find something else, especially homebrew, link it to me and I can see if it's OK and we can negotiate :) 7) There is no XP gathering - after certain number of adventurers (number is random, depending on many factors) if I feel like it or know that you've just saved the city/country/kingdom or survived and won really dangerous and hardcore encounter I'll sat after end of session: "Ok, you've all gain a level". I think that's all for character creation for now - I'm still thinking about allowing one additional template (aside from Gestalt) and I'd be eager to hear your opnions, my dear players (I'm really hoping that someone will come by :P). Just two more things before I finish: Some "rules" about this session and world (hopefully more completed version will be done soon): 1) DM is always right especially during session - I don't like wasting time arguing about the rules. I'm only human and I can make mistakes, like everyone does, but even if I make them don't yell "Stop!" and halt session for everybody and just roll with it. We can explain things after session's end. 2) Sometimes Rule of Cool applies to this world. 3) There is a price for everything (especially when dealing with Death and ressurection). 4) Contrary to popular trope evil does not need to win only once and your failure will propably not bring imminent doom to all creation :) 5) There are things - gods, beast, beings, artifacts - that do not have any kind of stats (because as Spoony said: "if you stat it they will kill it (or at least try to)". 6) There propably will be more, but I'll end with - we are playing to have fun ! Last general information: - date of play is not set in stone and can be changed at any moment depending on players and - in lesser extent - DM - I'm in GMT+1 timezone, but players from other continents are more than welcome to join - for now I'm thinking about playing on Fridays or Saturdays starting at 6 or 7 PM (of course GMT+1); aside from that my holidays are starting soon and I'll propably have time to play a session in other days - there is no set limit for players (as I said - treat it like an open table/living world), but know that I can't just add 20 people at once, because that would create chaos OK, for now I need to scrath that and work out times and dates with already joined players - WORKING MIC WILL BE REQUIRED (webcams are not) - I prefer using Skype than Google Hangouts - <a href="http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetindex.php" rel="nofollow">http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetindex.php</a> - it's a good site to create, save and show your character to DM If you are interested in playing post here or send me a PM and I'll add you to campaign ;) If you have more questions post them here and I'll be more than happy to answer them ^_^ Good day to you all.
I am definitely interested, you pretty much check all the boxes on things I find important myself. That is.. if you don't mind having a relatively new player to P&P games. I have played some 20 to 25 sessions of D&D 4th edition but besides this I have no real experience with anything else. I don't think I will have much trouble picking up the rules of Pathfinder however, I didn't have any trouble with D&D 4e. Anyway, I will PM you my Skype Contact info so you can contact me more easily if you want.
I'm really interested in this and it sounds like something i would enjoy. hopefully i can get in on this
I'm very much so interested myself; Friday evening like that is very convenient for me and I would be very happy to give gestalt another try. I'll send skype details later if you're willing to talk about me as a player.
@Rick K. - No worries, some might call me still a new DM so... in the end we both might learn something ;) @Perry S. - Could you post here or if you want send me a PM saying if you are experienced with Pathfinder and/or gestalt characters? @Bart W.- Sure thing :D I'm gonna wrap up one or two things and I'll add all volunteers for session. Mind you all - we still have a room ^_^
@Matt J as for experience i have taken part in a few Pathfinder Campaigns and have only really got to roughly level 5 in those campaigns due to the group falling apart. meaning that obviously us starting at level 6 will mean that this will be new to me. As for Gestalt characters, i haven't done this and therefore would be learning it new.
This seems like something I'd love to take part in. How long will the sessions be? The start time is something like midnight for me here, east coast of the US, and while I'm normally up pretty late anyway, if the sessions are going to be like 5 or 6 hours thats probably a bit much for me. I've got about three years experience with Pathfinder, both DMing and playing. I'm familiar with the gestalt rules as well so it won't be a problem for me to whip up something for you to take a look at shortly.
@Perry S. - If you gonna need any help aside from that link describing Gestalt characters (for reminder: <a href="http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/gestaltCharacters.htm" rel="nofollow">http://www.d20srd.org/srd/variant/classes/gestaltCharacters.htm</a> ;)) just tell. I'm gonna send my Skype name in a few moments. @Galen - Hm... Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm assuming that East Cost is in Eastern Time Zone (EST) so it means it's GMT-5. So assuming we start session at 7 or even 8PM that would mean 1 or 2 PM in your timezone :) ...Am I doing this right?

Now that I've realized my mistake I'm going to have to withdraw from consideration. I have another game on Friday that I'm in and start at 1 or 2pm here would conflict with that. That's unfortunate too. I've been looking for a gestalt Pathfinder game too. Good luck!

@Galen - Well, assuming that we play on Friday (and we propably won't because another player preferred Saturday) that is correct, but as I said - this session have episodic construction (at least I'll try to do that) and every player does not need to be on every session. For example, if we gonna have quite a few people it's no problem for me to play one session on Friday and other on Saturday. What's more - I think I could handle solo or 2-people sessions (i.e if somebody had such great hunger for roleplaying ^_^). And one last thing - with this "episodic" type of thingy I would (and propably gonna) allow making more than one character so you could have greater diversity of choice ^_^
This sounds absolutely perfect. If theres any room I would love to play. I recently started playing Gestalt, after several years of playing pathfinder and 3.5 and I've fell in love with it. I'm free on Saturdays at that time, it's 5pm here in GMT, and would really like to play a wizard/rogue, which I have yet to play, but sounds awesome in my head for character creation and backstory. I'm about to run off to work, I only work Thursdays/Tuesdays at the moment, so that shouldnt be a problem. I can make a character when I get back from work, and I'll drop you a private message with my skype name if you want to get in contact :) I'm hamish, I live in England and I'm 18. I've been playing for 4 years, but usually have 2-3 games going at once. I have played wizards almost exclusively during that time, with varying multiclassing and prestige classes. I look forward to hearing from you, Seraphim
Wow, this sounds amazing. I've been looking for a Gestalt game for some time, and this sounds perfect. I'm in the American Pacific Time Zone (so 9 hours behind you), which means I would only be able to play on Saturdays since I'd be working at that time on Fridays. I've always wanted to try out a Paladin/Inquisitor style build, or maybe a Monk/Druid "Ninja fighter of the forest" character.
@Seraphim and @Alex H. - I'm really glad to hear that, I've sent invitations on Skype to you :)
This looks sweet, if you still have room ( You did say you don't mind lots of players) I would definitely like to sign up. Have been interested in a Gestalt game for a while. I am in Eastern time zone (GMT-5) which is.... 6? Hours behind you, but that's perfect because I am a chef and so, don't get home till late each day. This means we can start at a decent time for you! I am open most days with Saturday being the most sketchy (But I could make it work) I have been playing Pathfinder for 4 years, GM myself, and have a solid knowledge of rules so I don't have to hold people up. (Ewww slow combat, yay smooth gameplay!) If you do still have room my skype is xnowx91 and I would love to join! Thank you!

I am an experienced Pathfinder player that is fairly new to roll20. I am 33 years old and am currently a student. Other games that I dabble in are Warhamer 40k; fantasy and tabletop, Shadowrun, and 3.5. For your game I had an idea for a Paladin/Ninja, kinda like a temple or church agent, but I can really play any role the party needs. The time slot is perfect for me as I live in CST and am currently on break. If there is still room availible pls let me know.

@Zach B. - yeah, technically speaking I said that, but after some time I think I was over...hyped? joyed? optymistic?... and for now I have more than enough players. I was thinking of running two groups in same world - one on Friday and second on Saturday - but I have other things to do, other session to play and for now I don't think I'll be able to make it work. @Rasta - as I wrote above, I'm really sorry, but for now I need to close recruitment. If in some future (propably far) there will be room I'll be sure to post something on LFG ;)
If this is against the rules I'm extremely sorry, but this small bump is only for me to leave one thing: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/14788/the-etern" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/14788/the-etern</a>... For now I don't have open slots, but if any willing player will leave his nick or means for contact there I'd have a database of potential players if there would be a slot open in far or near future ^_^ Untill then I bid you all good day and have fun roleplaying! :)
