Darkvision for D&D 5e in Updated Dynamic Lighting

D&D 5e dark vision behaves differently in dim light vs. darkness: You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. As reported  here , the old dynamic lighting was near perfect for this. One could set a 30 foot light radius, start of dim at 0, and a multiplier of 2x, perfectly simulating darkvision. Updated Dynamic Lighting, despite the claims that it is at "feature parity", does not seem to provide such a solution.
