(LFP) (D&D 5e) (Free) Are Late Nights & Every Week Too Much?

Hello out there,   I am looking for a group of 4-5 players to start a potentially long-term D&D 5e campaign starting at level 1.  Older gamers (I am no longer young myself) and newbies are welcome.   Work/Family/Life demands make a weekly game unworkable for me, so the games would only be 2-3 times a month (maybe every other week . . . or two weeks on and then one-two weeks off).    Those same Work/Family/Life demands make late night games unworkable for me as well, so these games would be weekend afternoons (either Sat. or Sun., roughly between 12 and 6 p.m. Central time zone, GMT -5), and they would go on for approximately 4 hours.   I was a GM for 16 years but took a long break when my group of friends finally moved on.  I have recently been running an occasional game for two of those friends, but I want to get back into it more consistently.  I have a large homebrew world in a fantasy setting (moderate magic) with sandboxes, as well as multiple interlocking quests should the party want them.   I plan to use roll20 as the battle map, while everything else will be audio (probably discord). I am interested in a good mix of rp and combat—maybe 65/35 as a guess.  I’ll use the D&D 5e rules, but I don’t feel that they must be desperately followed.  As a group we need to be consistent, but departures from the rules, as long as they make sense, are not out of the question.   Drop me a PM if you’re interested and tell me about your experience and what kind of game you like,   TheHarvester
I am interested. I am 18+ and have a mic. Are all races allowed? Is it going to be more combat or roleplay heavy.

Hi. Im interested. I have played dnd with some friends on occasion, but what we did was NOT what anyone would consider real dungeons and dragons sadly. I want to get into it more seriously. The attributes I bring with me are good attitude, willingness to be part of a group, availability with flexible hours, and plenty of imagination. If you have patience and time for me im willing to learn and be a part of your future dnd campaigns. I will also add that im well over 18.
Hello again, Thanks to those who posted publicly and privately.  I forgot to ask, please let me know when you are available.
hello i and a group of 3 friends are interested if you still have slots?
I am a 26 year old welder/mechanic. i have always had a great love for fantasy and over the years i have been in several groups for DnD on and off with varying range of success. I want to join a longer term, more consistent group and always ok with role playing and very familiar with "in character" and "out of character" interaction. I have a couple different char ideas that range from Caster to melee, and one cleric idea. I'm ok with being a filler and playing into one of these ideas if it would work into your group and  have a working base idea for  the DM to build on or a more indepth concept idea the DM can weave into the world. Your posted times work for me, i can also be flexible with weekday late afternoon/nights with limitations, To give more info in the roles i would enjoy and may fit into what you have already. i have general/in depth concepts for a Wizard, Spy master rogue, origin of gods sorc, Chaotic cleric, and a few more class/roles that are very base. Things i would consider important to a DnD experience personally are: Sandbox, this is a big one for me bc i love going into something no one else has seen, something you cant out of game reference and ruin the story on. Role playing; i think this is something alot of players overlook. its important to "be" the character and think as it would and interact as such. meta gaming the story takes alot away form the experience imo. No new adventure knows a hydra heals per turn kinda thing. Freedom from the rules that isnt "op"; i love the idea of homebrew "quirks" but people need to be ok with it being a give and take. Ideas can be great on paper and weak or op in practice and i dont wanna end up with someone that just "carrys" the story or people that cant handle being "weakened" to balance the experience for the group. I hope this gives some insight for you and that you can get back to me on what you guys are looking for and have a further conversation if i am someone you might be looking for to go on this adventure with!
I'm interested! I'm a M28 GMT+1'er, so your time slots are a nice evening session for me.  I'm a musician, so my schedule is a little irregular, but weekend nights are for the most part free The only times I'm not free at those hours this year is dec. 5th, 12th and 13th. I'm not terribly experienced, I've only had a single one-shot, but I have a reasonable grasp of the rules, and I'm not afraid of RP'ing.  For playstyle, I think I'd like something sandboxy, as exploring the world is fascinating to me. Though I'm sure I'd enjoy something more scripted too. As I said, a little inexperienced. I can be flexible with what kind of character I play, though my main character concept right now (that I played in the one shot) is a social manipulation oriented utiliwizard. I would only play that one if it fit with the setting/playstyle though. Turns out social manipulation didn't work too well with undead... Anyway, hope to hear from you.
UPDATE: Thanks for all the interest.  This game is currently full.
