Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden campaign needing 1 Thursday Game 4pm EST

I am starting a brand new campaign of Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden very soon, in less than 1 week from today! I will be running a session zero where the players will make their characters. The characters will either be from the ten towns or the surrounding areas or have been in the ten towns or surrounding areas for a while. I and the other players already present want the party to be cohesive and fitting to the story and themes presented in the story.  I also want the characters to make sense within the setting and locale the story takes place in. Tell me a little about yourself and your previous D&D experience. The game will feature a good mix of RP and combat so those looking for combat heavy games or RP-lite games might need look elsewhere. The end goal here is for everyone to have fun and I'm just looking for those i feel will be best suited for our game. I want everyone to have the best experience possible!
Hello man, first of all i'm brazilian, don't know if that's a problem to you, just checking. so.... i play rpg for 18 years, D&D por almost 12 years, i use roll20 since 2019, that's because i used to play with my friends, presencial, but thats impossible now since COVID's CR is to high for me (XD). I play 5E since 2017 i guess, have lots of experience playing and GMing, the only problem is english, i'm fluente but maybe i'll be to much of a slow talker for your taste. thanks.
Hello! My current DnD experiences are finishing up Dungeon mastering my Fourth game roll 20. As far as my character plans go I would be good with filling in the gaps of the party composition as well as fitting into the story. I am a chill player looking for a good time and I love all aspects of the game! Looking forward to being a player again! my discord! Cow pie#8421
Hey! I'm 27 years old and only got into D&D at the start of the year during lockdown but i have managed to play quite a few one shots or short term campaigns in that time so ive got a pretty good grasp on the game and its mechanics but ive recently been looking for a solid long term campaign to get stuck into. I do like a good mix on combat and roleplay as too much of one can make the games a bit stale and I am in GMT so im only a few hours ahead so the timing works out nicely for me. I am generally a very relaxed player, i try to keep things fun and not focus too strictly on the rules, everyone handles things differently, its part of what makes different games interesting! I do have character concepts in mind that could be adapated to fit the setting but am more than happy to create a new character that would be better suited for the party and/or the campaign If there is anything else youd like to know, feel free to ask or add me on discord!
