Hello, My 2+ year campaign came to end when 2 of the players had schedule conflicts. It was a great game that went from level 1 through 13. I would like to start a new game for 4 players. Weekly games, 4 hour sessions. Time options: Saturday or Sunday morning at 7am EST DM Style: As a DM I like to run games based on the rules of the game. All my dice rolls are made in the open and I stick to RAW (with some flexibility to keep the game moving). I do this so as a group we all know what to expect. As a GM I see my role as a guide. Not looking to surprise or misdirect...instead looking to reveal and facilitate. The game is what you as players make it. I like a mix of RP and combat. In my other game combat comes up once every other session or so. Although, depending on the path the players take there may be several sessions of one or the other. Looking for players who are teamwork oriented. If problems happen (as is possible, we all have some Ego) please be willing to talk it out with the person and help come to a solution. We are all adults and this should be a game that is fun for everyone. I like to create an emerging experience. Sometimes this can be fun and exciting, othertimes dark and sad. I like to explore themes and stories that fit within the gameworld. LGBT+ welcome, young/old welcome, use "fade to black" in lieu of sexual content. Game Summary: Lucian D'Lere , third son of the Duke D'Lere line has contracted the Withering. The mysterious ailment is a slow death which spreads randomly. Musings out of Candlekeep postulate that the Withering is a curse upon mortals invoked by Beshaba, however with so few cases there is very little know about the ailment. Lucian has left Waterdeep and headed south to the Misty Forest. Within the boundary of this dangerous wood a settlement is being rebuilt as a sanctuary for those infected. News of the development of a treatment has drawn those infected to the settlement built atop the ruins amidst the forest. Dubbed "Haven" the settlement is offering respite to the infected while searching for a possible cure. Even renowed Doctor Danvous from Neverwinter has joined the settlement to help find a cure. The dangers of the forest oastrosize the community. Only a monthly carrage bringing newly infected and supplies brave the dangerous journey. Three years have past. There has been no news from the settlement in that time. The silence broke earlier this month when fliers began to circle Waterdeep..."A call for adventures in Haven". Citing dangers of the forest having slowed research, Haven is offering rewards for adventures who can help this vulnerable community. Fear of contracting the infection has caused the fliers to be largely ignored. Duke D'Lere remains silent and many are wondering if Haven is a solution to the ailment or just somewhere to get rid of the infected.
