[LFP][WoD] Mage: The Awakening 2nd Edition Interest Check

Hey guys, I'm toying around with the idea of running a Mage: The Awakening 2nd Edition game.  I read some of it, but I thought it looked really cool and would like to see if people would like playing it.  It's like a bizarre occult mystery game set in modern times, and players can potentially become powerful archmages.  The consequences are that your soul can be tainted by Paradox.
I'd be interested. Have been wanting to play a mage game for a while. I have a some experience with wod. Mostly vtm.
I was thinking of Friday/Saturday in terms of running it. How does that sound?
That time would work for me if you do end up running the game.
Mage is always an exceptionally fun and interesting system to both run and play, with the versatility of the players and the general themes of the gameline itself. Fun times can always be have. So if you are running a game, I'd love to throw my hat into the ring.
Excellent!  Well I'll have you know I'm still really new to this game system given there aren't many opportunities to run and/or play it.  Also the book is edited weirdly so it's a bit of a learning curve.  But I've read the book front to cover and have a spell casting tool that helps me streamline casting so I think I got the gist of it.   I'm more keen on Saturdays since I'm more rested from work.  What characters would you consider playing in this kind of game?
Haven't really looked through the book recently to have a character concept
Never played Mage, and most of my experience with Chronicles of Darkness is from back when it was nWoD instead (there has been an update on some of the basic rules by my understanding (I know the Vamps in my VtR game from 10ish years ago gained experience very quickly which supposedly has been fixed)). I'm interested but need to know what times are you looking at (like timezone/time of day)?  I've got a game that runs on Saturday afternoons Eastern time, but if you are looking at running Saturday evenings or Friday nights or something like that...
I'm interested. I've only ever played Awakening once but I'm willing to give it another try. I would like to play a mage of the Obrimos path and the Mysterium or Free Council order.

It uses this beat system where a certain number of beats equates to an experience point.  You then buy your stuff like you normally do.  As for when I was considering running, Saturday evening is where I'm leaning, probably 5 or 6 PM EST ideally. That looks interesting.  It'll be fun to see what their Awakening will be like.  :)
I'm thinking of a character who is like a scholar or something? Maybe a Linguist?
That works; many Mages are scholar types since their character revolves around Mysteries and fulfilling Obsessions.  If you're a linguist, you might be interested in picking up points in a Grimoire which is a magic book that has rituals in it as flavor to show off your linguistic ability.  Some food for thought.

I sent game and Discord invites.
Bump
I would be interested in a Mage game if you're still looking for players.
Invite sent.
Are you still looking for players?
I would be very interested in an MtA game if it was run on either Thursday or Friday evening
Willing to accept another player.  I've sent invites out but heard no response so if you see this and still want to join you can.  We had our first session yesterday Saturday 6 PM EST.
