Victoria and Vancouver, already in the grips of the Pure, were completely overrun. On the other side of the Rockies, the Tribes of the Moon were slaughtered; crashing in a tidal wave of bloody Pure vendetta. Survivors had to cluster in dark corners of urban depths or resort to desolate peaks and secret ravines. The Hunters in Darkness, who held prime territories in British Columbia's vast wilderness, had all but gone extinct. Now, 30 years later, a beacon of hope stands at the foot of the Rockies; hinted on in the Dreams of Cahaliths as a shining city made of silvery light, a bastion that stands strong. Maybe it was the pack of Elders and the power they garnered over and the area or the cooperation of the local packs. Maybe the threat of the giant, festering Wound threatening the local Shadow that drove the Pure away from the area... Or perhaps it is simply Luna's will; a gift of mercy to her suffering children. Whatever the reason may be, New Vancouver, or Nuvie as known by its locals, had repelled the Pure invasion, and still maintains a sizable Forsaken population. You and your newly formed pack of Uratha may have just found your new home. That is if you can claim it for yourselves. The Wolf Must Hunt.
