Don't Show GM Measuring When He is on the GM Layer

I was going to leave a big bad guy on the GM layer since he is invisible at the start of the encounter.    Then I thought I better test what happens in the players view when I start using the measuring tool while I'm on the GM layer.  The players see the GM doing measuring.  Which would give the bad guy's position away. So I thought it might be nice to have a way to not let the players see when the GM is measuring things and other times he might want them to see when he is measuring.  Easiest solution is when the GM is on the GM Layer don't let the players see anything he does.  But there might be times when the GM isn't on the GM layer and he still doesn't want the players to see what he does?  Maybe need a better solution, but anyway they do it I think it would be very useful for when you are checking out ranges, etc.

I think the GM layer option would work. It doesn't take that long to switch between layers, and it avoids confusion. All in all I think this would be a very welcome feature.
Maybe instead of making it so you have to switch layers we could use SHIFT + Measuring Tool to hide the arrow.

+1 for either of these ideas.
+1 for anything that will let me figure out how far apart 2 things are when the pc's shouldn't have a clue something is there to start with. the shift method is the perfered.

I found this out by accident.  When measuring, the GM can see the measuring line, the players can see it, but the GM that is relogged in as a player can't see it. This leads me to believe that its supposed to work as the players shouldn't see it, but its a bug that they can see it.  Although we would like a way to measure and the players see it so we can show them things. Here is a screen capture.  Notice the three yellow circled areas. I did this all on one computer with two different usernames, one is the GM obviously and the other a player.
