LF Mutants and Masterminds Group

I've been interested in the game for awhile but finding a group/DM has been trouble for me. So if there's a 'noob' friendly group or DM out there that can teach me how to play or let me join that'd be great!
Have myself and another interested in a newbie friendly game as well!
I'd be down for that.
I've never played the system before but am really interested in trying it out!
Now if only we could find a GM >.>
I'm sure there's a gm on here that'll help us out...
What style of comic book are you looking for? Have you applied at the various campaigns listed? https://app.roll20.net/lfg/search/?playingstructured=mutantsandmasterminds What kind of comic book are you looking to role play in?
John, The style of comic book is rather basic to the setting created in the mutants and mastermind setting, but I generally leave that up to the GM running the game, as it is their world. I find it important that the GM really enjoy the world that they are running and not cater to the players in such a regard. The players are living in the world and the GM needs to show them how enjoyable it is (and of course to do so, one must enjoy it themselves). Secondly, I try to only apply for games that I can actually make the schedule of, and yes, I have used the looking for group tool in that search. Thank you for the helpful link though for players who might be unfamiliar with it. I have searched here on roll20 as well as other websites such as reddit, giant in the playground, etc, and other various communities I have access to. The problem, as always, is finding a GM, then finding one willing to run on a schedule I can adhere to (I try and lead an active life). So, to others reading this as well and who might be interested in running this wonderful game for myself and other players... Times that work best for me: Monday and Wednesday evenings (EST). I'd list all the games and such and personal history, but I feel like that should be something better saved for an interview process. As always, any inquiries can feel free to be sent to me as a private message. Thanks.
I have looked at the other campaigns listed. Most of them I don't think I'd be able to make it for and then a couple others I'm not a big fan of the setting their using. My preference would be to be in a unique comic or the Freedom/Emerald City setting. I think my personal appeal to the system was it didn't have the poster boy Superman or Batman(who I love) but I typically don't like encountering already established characters in RPGs for whatever reason. Aside from that I'm willing to play anything from Silver Age to dark and gritty or a more modern age setting. I'm free most of the time and my timezone PST. My main conflict would be on Wednesdays or Saturdays.
Same problem here; looked at the campaigns listed but I personally don't like a campaign where there are 10 people. I've been in them before and I feel that there's too much time that is wasted. That's just a personal opinion based on experience.
Yeah, I'm with you on that one ghost. I won't apply for any games that have 5 or more (always end up playing with my girlfriend in the campaigns, though most of the time I end up as the GM >.<). Afterwards it just starts to deteriorate from the group and the story. And Geek, I wholeheartedly agree with you on the setting. I didn't want to run in to well established Marvel of DC characters. If that was agreed on beforehand, that's fine and I could deal with it, but that always needs discussed beforehand. Even though, I'd want limited interaction with them it's something I'd just need to know for creating a character in that universe. If I know it's more of a low key thing, I'm great with that too, where say superheroes are not an every day occurence thing.
I can't really speak on group number since I've never really done an online group(outside of people I already know) but yeah more than five is kind of troublesome.
bump
So, Monday evenings EST? >.>
That can work for me.
Ooh count me in too!
So I'm in a PST timezone and I'm available most of the time.
I would love to play if the game ever takes off
