My head spins because of time zones... so, GMT, I think, puts you into a late afternoon time for me... the Aussies are into another day and thats where I start to actually tilt physically. I use 1&amp;2e, B/X and the Goblinoid Games (Labyrinth Lord) "B/X Advanced" sets of rules, although I've been sliding towards Dungeon World because of the online format. either way, I hope you have fun man! No one should pay for lost mines of phandelver, it’s extremely generic dnd theres a bunch of rip off DMs here.

Canik, Thank you for your input. While I agree that Phandelver can be seen to tick a number of boxes somewhat, and I do run a wide variety of games that are not just D&amp;D and not just Phandelver, I do often find myself running it because: 1. There's demand for it. There's simply a lot of people asking to play it, because it's the "Starter set" and they expect to play it 2. It's a well-crafted simple story that easily gets people into the game. There's a starter dungeon followed by a "quest hub". It follows a good format that allows new players to latch onto it and learn pretty easily. 3. People still sign up for it even if they've played it before. I'm expecting because they like the "frontier town" feel to being able to put their mark on an area. Now, I agree it must be frustrating seeing a lot of people posting about it, and I'd be more than happy to run a paid game of any of the other modules, or any other system, but I felt it worth bringing up as an opening offer.

Hey there, Daz, this is a spicy little thread you have here, I love it. My name is Levi, I'm starting a campaign with adults that's a sort of artistic endeavor. I plan to focus on story and characters, but I have a nice rich combat system to keep the battles alive. The only problem I might see is that I'm in MST, we plan to play on Fridays at 3:00 PM MST, and that IS your nighttime, and so I hope that might work out.
