D&D 5e Icewind Dale module require other modules?

I am new to Roll20 and would like to play through Icewind Dale with some friends and am interested in buying the module. I noticed there are some things missing already from the PHB in the character creation. Will I need to purchase the PHB and the Monster Manual modules in addition to Icewind Dale to have everything I need to run the campaign?

The module contains every monster in the print version, as well as MM monsters that are mentioned but not statted. You do not need any other book in order to run the module. The printed module does not contain all of the PHB options, and neither does the Roll20 module. The PHB is a separate book with a separate purpose. Like wise, neither version of the module contains character creation rules for Xanathar's, Volo's, etc. Further, you do not  need  the PHB options to run the module, print or digital. It just makes it easier. Without it, you would need to enter non-SRD options manually.
