Ye Olde Schoole De & De, friday one-shot?

Anyone want to swing some swords, fire some arrows, and cast some spells the way they did thirty years ago? Maybe start around level 4 or so, and just go until it's time to stop?

I would jump at it but I've been sitting in a hospital waiting room most of the day and will be to tired to play when I get home. Is it the BECMI or a clone you are planning to use?

I was thinking BECMI. But was wanting to put something interesting in there. Like Pixies, or Orcs, or maybe a polymorphed human in animal form, or something like that. Maybe even using the classes from 1e, and just kinda "square-pegging it" into a BECMI game. But that's only if it wasn't a new player

It sounds fun! Alas I can't sign up tonight because I am going out to music with some friends for at least a couple hours.

But if the prospect of skipping a step or two will lure people in, you now have the option. Don't worry about not having the books, or not being familiar with anything pre-2000's D&D-wise. Between readily available materials, my own knowledge, and the character-sheets and macros; all you really theoretically need is interest.

I'm gonna keep an eye on this thread and see if I cant get caught up around the house and make the game this evening wife permitting.

Alas, the wife reminds me I have to get up at 6:30 am tomorrow, So I'd only be able to do something for about... Negative 16 minutes. Need to wrap things up and get to bed. Will keep an eye out, however.
