Campaigns for New Players: Please Join in GMs

Since I've been noticing a trend with a lot of threads from new players that feel like they're having a hard time finding a game, figured I'd make one that would (hopefully) encourage GMs to pick up a few of them for their upcoming games. If you're a GM who might be willing to start a campaign or one shot for new players (or just pick 'em up for an existing one), I encourage you to post a reply here. Just include a little information about the game you're planning (system, how many players, genre, and time) and how they can contact you for more details. New players that are looking, if you find a GM with a game you're interested in, post a reply that let's them know you're interested. If you already have an idea, I'd suggest including a brief background regarding a character you might like to play for that game - that'll really help a GM determine if that character will fit in with their game and that you're a serious player. Also, please be patient! Please don't post the "please help I can't find a game" stuff, start a new topic for that. I'd rather this be a place for players to meet and speak to GMs to help get them started. Whew, now that's over... I'm looking to GM a Pathfinder campaign for roughly 4 PCs, I'll likely be using the Kingmaker or Carrion Crown (lvl 1s) pre-made adventure paths to reduce the work load on me, though I might change it to the Feast of Ravenmoor (lvl 3) one-shot if players are mostly looking to just get their feet wet. More than happy to include any core or base classes. No time's been set yet and I'm looking to get it going within the next week or two, ideally once a week and on a Sat/Sun evening but it's flexible. If you're interested pop me a PM with any questions. Thanks everyone for your help!
Nice sentiment Shane and very helpful. I am considering running a one shot or campaign (depends on the mix of players etc..) using Fate/FAE/d&d 5e after the holiday. I am EST timezone and will run from roughly 9pm - 12pm on a weekly basis. I will likely be pulling some material from dwimmermount/rappan athuk, some other things I have laying around. All players are required to help build the world out through write-ups, group creation, world building, etc.. PM me if you want more info. If I get enough interest I will proceed with creating a campaign setup here with some rough maps etc..

I posted a week ago, and got 20 players for a Numenera "Guild" within 2 days. Most are new to the system, and roll 20. 10 of them never generated a character, and never said anything other than clicking Join, a week ago. No posts, no questions. So that's the other side of the coin. We play session 2 tomorrow.

Shane, I'm interested in your game depending on time. I live in GMT + 1, and have been looking for an early morning Sat. Or Sun. (5:00 am GMT+1 or thereabouts) which would possibly fit the Saturday evening game depending on your time zone and start time. i'm a 34 years old, and have played rpg's on and off since I was a teenager (lately more off than on). Most of my experience is 2e, 3e and 3.5, but I've played one shot's in others and am well read up on pathfinder (and it's not much different than 3.5) i'm fairly new to roll20 I've played 1 game so far, but have been looking for a way to get back into role playing other than crpg's i'd be interested in either the 1 shot or a longer term campaign if the starting time works out for me.
Hi there, Shane. I sent you a PM, but not sure which you check more so I'll leave a message here too. :) I'm new and looking for a game to get into. I live in EST and work nights. I'm off work Monday and Wednesdays so those would be my personal preference, but either early or really late my time are both acceptable as well if those two days don't work for the group. (Who needs sleep? There's goblins to bash!) I'm 26, and while I love role play and character building, I've only got a little experience with dice rollers (mostly with Pathfinder) and I'd love to get into a lengthier campaign. PM when you get a moment. I've got a few questions.
I may do a pick up game for new players.. If enough people come to me I am not opposed to running the beginner box. With that said there is one game where I would like one player, preferably a new guy. I am running reign of winter friday evenings and would gladly take someone on. Your best bet is to pm me, or add me on skype (Ferryman3636)
I'm running a game tonight, it's a short one shot campaign, new players are welcome, I'm more than willing to show new players 3.5 D&D. Link to the tread I made: <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/947670/short-one-shot-campaign-tonight-new-players-welcome#post-947670" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/947670/short-one-shot-campaign-tonight-new-players-welcome#post-947670</a>

I am running a short 3.5 campaign about survival in a tundra environment and I welcome players that are new to 3.5. if you are interested then don't hesitate to check it out. <a href="https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/947823/lf-player" rel="nofollow">https://app.roll20.net/forum/post/947823/lf-player</a>...
i hid my vampire game as well as i could, tucked it away on other peoples threads and Still filled the game within days, and thats for a game that has multiple groups active in the same campaign. Refs/gms have always been rare, decent ones even more so. The main thing thats stopped me simply saying 'Hello' and offering a friendly, if not ref related, hand is the forums never seemed like the place for frivolous things like that. For the record All the games i run are newbie friendly. My early gaming would have been so much easier had there been someone there for me so im more than happy to pass on what little ive learned.
I'm trying to find 2 or 3 players for a quick dungeon run tonight if anybody is interested PM me.

I am looking for one female player for my Dungeon World campaign. <a href="http://www.dungeonworldsrd.com/" rel="nofollow">http://www.dungeonworldsrd.com/</a> Character History: All of your characters have come from different walks of life and backgrounds, but you all have one thing in common which is the desire to make a name for yourself on the Realm. Each of you have mastered your path be it Sword, Faith, Balance with Nature, Arcane Study or more. Due to this mastery you have been sought out and studied to determine if you have the Heart and Mettle to become an agent for good...a Harper. Before being accepted you must all go through a proving process for Commander Ryland of Silverymoon and that your deeds will be studied during this time. Upon being found worthy, the Harpers will find you.... Ryland is a Commander in the Knights of Silverymoon who holds a place in the Court to High Lady Alustriel and has both Martial and Arcane training. He was born in Silverymoon and has a passion for the charm of the city and wishes it to remain the Gem of the North despite threats on all borders. He understands that those under his command must serve their purpose for the greater good and will use all means at his disposal to protect the Realm. He has a kind heart but is very strict and stern with new recruits as he hopes that everyone who learns from his leadership may at the least survive in dark times ahead. When not on assignment you are allowed to do as you please but even still, your actions may be judged if you are being watched at that moment. You must follow the rules of the city and fight for freedom and the people of Silverymoon. Area Info, History and Year: The year is 1359 or Present Realm 1. The Time of Troubles has occurred and the fate of Faerun will never be the same. Gods walked the lands and men faced threats never like none before...the world now repairs and also prepares for what is to come... <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_of_Troubles_(Forgotten_Realms)" rel="nofollow">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Time_of_Troubles_(Forgotten_Realms)</a> Hide preview The Time of Troubles , also known as the Arrival , Godswar , and Avatar Crisis , is a fictional time period in the chronology of the Forgotten Realms campaign setting [1] of the Dungeons & Dragons fantasy role playing game. Taking place during the Year of Shadows, 1358 DR , the Time of Troubles was a cataclysmic period during which the gods of Faerûn were forced to walk the earth in their mortal avatar forms. However, unlike when a god usually sends an avatar and its true form resides usually on one of the Outer Planes, the gods were all demoted and this was the only form they had at the time, making them very vulnerable. Several major deities died during the Time of Troubles, and a handful of mortals rose to divinity . Wikipedia <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harpers_(Forgotten_Re" rel="nofollow">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harpers_(Forgotten_Re</a> The Harpers are a mysterious organization of high-level adventurers which operates in the North. The aims and activities of the Harpers remain mysterious, but they are known to work for the causes of good, and to oppose the Zhentarim and the more aggressive trading kingdoms (such as Amn) who cut trade-routes into wilderland areas, and fell trees and mine precious things with little regard for local nonhuman inhabitants. They also work to maintain peace between human kingdoms (recently opposing Scardale as a threat to that peace, for instance), and to thwart at every turn the burgeoning goblinkin races in the North. Silverymoon <a href="http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Silverymoon" rel="nofollow">http://forgottenrealms.wikia.com/wiki/Silverymoon</a> The Gem of the North and its largest inland city, Silverymoon is an echo of lost Myth Drannor. It is a beautiful city of ancient trees and beautiful towers that crouches on the northern shore of the River Rauvin. It is the center of learning and culture in the North. Elves, Dwarves, Humans and representatives of other races live in peace and exchange ideas freely. The city is ruled by High Lady Alustriel, a powerful force in the North. Alustriel is a powerful spellcaster, but her greater talents are in her natural kindness and graceful diplomacy, talents that have served her well in preserving her city against the ravages of the North and, in particular, the rising power of Hellgate Keep. Silverymoon is protected by a number of magical spells and wards, including the Moonbridge, the main span across the Rauvin. The bridge is made of invisible force, and its crest may be turned off, sealing the city from attack in that direction. Silverymoon has temples to Helm, Lathander, Milil, Oghma and Selune within its walls, along with a shrine to Mielikki. It is also home to a temple to Shiallia, the Golden Oak Inn and Temple, tended by Izolde. In addition, Silverymoon holds a music conservatory and a school of magic within its gates. Game information: This game will be 75% role-playing and 25% combat. I am only looking for players that are interested in role-playing the story element of their characters and the world around them. This game will be extremely low on treasure and high on character and world development. So what does that mean from my perspective? The characters decisions will shape how the story is driven and it will dramatically affect the world around. TimeZone: [Central time] First Game Date: 06-27-14 Frequency: Bi-Weekly Start Time: 8:00 PM to 11:00 PM Software: Roll 20 VT, Google Drive, Google Hangout Number of Players: [4] (I would prefer at least one female player.) Player Requirements: Submit a character you would like to play with a short history. Please remember that this is a good and heroic game. Current Characters: Ranger (Mitchell), Druid (Shawn) and Dashing Hero (Kendrick)
