Short, one shot campaign tonight. (New players welcome)

Have time to kill tonight? Perhaps you'd like to learn how to play 3.5 D&D? I'm looking for 2 or 3 players to do a short dungeon tonight. -D&D 3.5 rules, standard classes and races. -20 point buy -normal gold for your class -Level 1, max HP -We won't use skype, we'll just chat it out in game. -Looking to start about 10 or 11 pm EST Please post a character sheet and be ready by the time stated above. I could be down. Are you sure only a 20 point buy though? That seems very crippling for 3.5e characters. You don't intend for anyone to have any stats above 14 right?

I would like to play but I've only played Pathfinder and not 3.5. Will that be a problem?

You shouldn't. They are pretty similar aside from some minor differences.

Well it all depends on how many people want to play, if I just have 2, then I could bump it up to 25. I did it with 3 people with 20 point buy last time and it was pretty easy for them.

And yes, 3.5 and pathfinder are pretty similar, so it shouldn't be a problem. I'm doing 3.5 because although I've played pathfinder, I've never DMed it and don't know the rules well yet. I know 3.5 in and out pretty much.

So should I create a character?

However, If I get enough people that want to play I might have you do a section of a bigger project i'm working on, since the dungeon I was originally going to do would be too small for more than 3 people.

We're just looking for base races and classes, monk is fine though.

Ok looks like we have 4 people interested, and I think that's all I'm going to accept at this time. I'm pretty new to dming on this site, so I want to keep it to a manageable number of players. You guys get your characters finished up and we'll get started soon.

Is it too late for a Cleric? And I'd need to do text chat, I'm a Pathfinder player but I started in 3.5 DnD, I'd just need to touch up on the rules. I've been DMing for 6 months without being able to play so really eager for a quick campaign.
