My hearing disability has somewhat gotten worse due to RL stress. Currently, I have trouble following German games ( my native language) in voice, and even with my English being almost as good it's slightly worse there. Additionally, I can't get Skype to work and hardly anyone here seems to use TS. So, I'm wondering if there are people looking for text based games. Either continuosly posting or with scheduled meetings. D&D 3.5, any modern d20 variant, PF, Star Trek, Star Wars, Spy Craft, Gamma World, Talislanta, Savage Worlds (Sundered Skies, probably a few other things) Star Wars, Star Trek, Deadlands (all versions) and probably FATE if the srtting works for me is all stuff I'd play, I'd also GM those except I do Sundered skies only in D&D or PF as it comes more logical to me and I can't get along that well with the FATE rules yet. I'm in Germany, but I'm more available at Australian times (my mornings) and CST. but I can probably fit in other times for playing. I'm less for hack&slash, with exceptions (some well known adventures based on mostly fight are quite fun) but I don't mind if for a while the group is mostly fighting. Fighting with no obvious reason will probably bore me but "you are stuck in this dungeon and need to fight your way out" and "there happen to be lots of bandits here" is often reason enough. Evil campaigns work for me if it's not PvP and makes some sense (as in mad psycho random killer guy makes little sense compared to a vampire who kills who is in his way on the way to becoming king etc). My characters are team players, unless the GM would like to assign a different role to them based on the adventure (as in I'm fine with being the secret traitor if it helps the story). Taking over existing chars where players dropped out may work as well. I tend to follow the story line when I see it, and I'm trying to have my chars act without waiting for the GM to feed me every little bit of info. I don't hog the spotlight. I am trying to avoid metagaming and think I largely succeed. Anything else, ask :-)
