Long-term AD&D Ringworld Campaign (LFP)

New Players welcome. AD&D 1st edition. PHB, DMG, MM1, MM2, FF, UA, etc. The good parts of 2e. Domain level play, exploration, mega-dungeons. Long-term sandbox campaign. Starting at level 4 *gasp* with an old Judge's Guild module as a one session tutorial then headfirst into S2: White Plume Mountain (or Dark Tower). Everything will generally be by the book, except for combat which I will run as seen on https://www.thebluebard.com/blog-1 , which is much faster and more understandable. There will be open discussion for house ruling as the game progresses. If it's on the blog, you can probably convince me to add it to the game. I am a "Yes, but" kind of DM, as long as it is reasonable (and fair to the other players and the game). There will also be no DM d*ckery, roll fudging, or railroading. The dice and their consequences will always be consistent. Rule Lawyers are welcome but be cautioned I reserve the right to be the final arbiter; this is to keep the game moving and not waste other players' time. Flexible scheduling on Friday and the weekends, preferably not running past 2-3 AM CST. Looking to run groups of six+. Character creation will be 4d6 drop the lowest, reroll ones, reroll character if no stat is 16+. Your character will be level 4, an accomplished dungeon rat who has distinguished himself in many a dank crypt. The first session will be a tutorial to get everyone used to the fast-paced and intense modified combat. You will be capturing quite a large tower and establishing it as your base of operations. Each player will have 2-3 level 4 hero characters depending on the final player count, and you will take a character of your choosing on adventures to dungeons, the wilderness, the cities and towns of the surrounding region, and eventually the infinite planes. It's possible you will choose to only ever take the best character you rolled up. That's totally fine. I intend the tower to feel much like the camp in Red Dead Redemption 2, if you have ever played the game. It will provide a safe resting area and stronghold for your band of heroes (or villains); your treasure will be safe from offscreen attacks with your extra characters. You will gain 1 XP for each GP taken from a dungeon, and another for every GP transported to the stronghold tower, which you can distribute to your other characters or double down. However, this game will be lethal to the careless. 18+ PM me or reply: AD&D Experience: Preferred Class and Alignment:
Hi Keeton. Which particular link on that blog page illustrates the combat system you are using?
