Clever ways to handle familiar sight?

So my halfling wizard has an owl familiar, but i'm having an issue with my game using dynamic lighting. Everytime my owl is on the screen, I can see everything that my owl can see, and lose out on my halflings sight. Is there a better way to handle this? Any way I can see his vision only if I click on it? Open to any ideas.
The sight of each token is going to be set by the GM in your game.  Having your owl on screen shouldn't affect seeing from your halfling's token. A few possibilities: Your GM is using a script to modify your wizard's sight when he has his owl, as is stated in the Find Familiar spell description. Your GM is using Updated Dynamic Lighting, and there is a bug happening with the vision from several tokens used by a single player. Your GM has not set the vision properly on the tokens in some way. There's no way to set it up so that you'll only see your owl's vision when you have the token selected. But there is a script that could allow for you to only see his vision when it is at the top of the Turn Token order (called 'Observer'), but your GM would have to set that up. It's helpful to see screenshots of token settings and get information about the game settings (which character sheets are being used, which lighting settings, which scripts, etc.) to better troubleshoot.

EDIT - ninja'd. Good points by Jarren. Assuming you always have control of both tokens, the DM will have to either manually toggle the owl's vision (and yours if 5e familiar rules), or if they have a pro subscription and the token-mod script you/they could make a macro that toggles it yourself (would require the "Players can use ids" option to be enabled on the token-mod user settings page).
