Quick Take: I have been running a game with my family for two years, as life got in the way, people had to drop out and it has become just my dad and my sister playing. They are each playing three characters and it makes role playing very difficult. We would like to have them go back to just one character and have three more people join our game for a total of 5 PCs in the party. We play on roll20, use phone for audio (dad's internet is very unreliable), and play in isometric format. Campaign: The campaign is very loosely based off of the 2nd edition adventure module "The Rod of Seven Parts". At its core it is a "collect all of the pieces of the McGuffin" type of adventure. The party is level 11 and takes place in the continent of Galorion, which pulls a lot of inspiration from the Pathfinder campaign setting books. The world is very human centered, with elf and dwarves being more on the rare side and other races are extremely rare. I may be able to answer some specific questions you might have, but I would like to reveal more about the world and the main plot line as role play. Isometric: We play in isometric format and I am a big fan of this style. In fact, I make all of the content that we use in the game. I sell stuff on roll20 marketplace and am trying to get a patreon kicked off. Below is what the board looked like as the party fought an elder brain and an alhoon who turned giant. https://pasteboard.co/JCbGiby.png And here is my roll20 shop. https://marketplace.roll20.net/browse/publisher/552/the-iso-explorer I will make custom isometric tokens for your characters. My DM Style: I have been DMing for two years with two different groups. I try to give players a chance to shine and have good role play opportunities, but I do tend to lean on dungeon crawls. I try to make encounters hard enough that you start to second guess yourself if you should have run or not, but so far I have yet to fully kill a PC thanks to some lucky dice rolls. I try to keep the game balanced, but understand that getting rewarded with cool stuff and making a really special hero is what D&D is all about. I would ask that content be restricted to official releases. I am a pro subscriber on roll20 and have the players handbook and xanathar's guide available to share. Who We Are Looking For: We are looking for players that are already familiar with D&D, and want to do some role playing. The most important thing is that we mesh well. Enjoying playing with people is a hard to predict, its sort of an x factor. As such, our plan is to essentially do "try-outs". We would run several one-shot games. If we feel like it is a good match, we would invite you to come play another game and eventually play regularly as part of the main campaign. If just for some reason we don't quite work out, then we won't invite you to the next game. No hard feelings intended, just want to make sure we have someone we can play with mostly every week for the foreseeable future. Of course this is a free game, but I would like to ask a favor if we do decide to invite you to the campaign. I am really bad at promoting my content. If you could potentially do something to help promote my content on roll20 or patreon, via a social media post or something along those lines, I'd give you copies of all of the assets that I make. This is not a requirement, I just want to be upfront about that. So if you are interested or have questions, please let me know.
