Dynamic Lightning - Night vision

So I have a few monsters that have darkvision. I chose to make it into nightvision.  But now using a character that cannot see in the dark and pressing Ctrl-L to see what the character sees - he sees the light of the monster like he was a torch but of red because it was the nightvision color I chose. What am I doing wrong?

Are you testing using a secondary account, or with your gm account logged in as a player?  ctrl-L as a gm is not a perfect replication of what a player will see, it's more a verification of line of sight of a token. As a gm, you'll still see what you can see abs kit what players can see.

Yeah ctrl-L is bugged in UDL, showing the combined vision of every sighted token on the page. Until that is fixed, the dummy account method Aaron mentioned is the most reliable way to accurately check what players will see. Not sure if the log in as player option works or not (I still use LDL).
Ok people thanks a lot
