assigning token to sheet does not save the setup variables

am i doing something wrong? when i pick out a token and assign it to a character sheet, i assign the bars and bubbles, give it a name, set up the macro variables and auras. everything works fine. however when i remove the token from the map, then try to bring it back by dragging the sheet back onto the map, the token is there, but all the setup is gone. i have to rename it, assign the bars and bubbles again, etc.

To explain a bit more, when you save a token on your character (sheet) you are saving a copy of that token as it was set up at that moment. Any changes to the token's setup does not apply to the copy of the token saved on your character (sheet). The instructions Phnord wrote up and linked will help.

I was thinking today how great it would be if you could manage the stored token settings from the sheet instead of having to go through all the steps we do today. It's especially cumbersome when you have a token graphic made from a rollable table and you find a new graphic you want to add to the table etc...

ah i see. i did it backwards. i saved the token to sheet before i altered it. thanks
