LFP, ongoing 3.5 RP-heavy, combat light. 18+ only.

This isn't your average dungeon-crawling group. (Lots of info below to help weed out people who are not going to be interested by this type of game) Games are played in Skype messenger, text only, with Roll20 for dice rolling. The game is all narrative with no maps or minis. We don't use homebrew or dndwiki character options, psions, or the Tome series. We have two DMs, one of which has a fairly crazy schedule, but lately things have been evened out where we play after 8pm PST until about 1am PST. We often have only 24 hour notice before the next game, but PMs are sent out on Skype as soon as a game is scheduled. Sessions are episodic and there is an IC reason for characters to miss sessions. There is no penalty for missing a session. Real life is always more important. We have a large number of players because few are "regular" players and able to make every session. The game itself is character- and story-driven. New players and characters with strong personalities are welcomed. Non-violent solutions are encouraged, but we do still fight bad guys. Everything is a bit more grey-scale than in vanilla D&D. Negative energy auras don't always mean "evil," demons aren't always bad guys, and that half-orc is actually an equal rights advocate. Characters are all from a DM-created world. Details and house rules available through private message. The overarching plot is that all the characters have been abducted by a void-sailing, plane-jumping, broken, cursed ship. We jump from plane to plane searching for a solution and our home plane while dealing with the various issues that come up. It's a little Farscape, a little Sliders, a little Planescape, and a lot of fun. Some of the adventures we've been on so far: We've been attacked by rhinos and creatures made of goo. We've avoided being abducted by a dragon by distracting her with a conversation about where babies come from. We've had a younger version of one of the NPCs brought forward from the past by the evil dragon goddess Tiamat. We've found a sentient artifact that has taken up residence in one of our PC's faces. We've landed on a plane where iron was currency and gold was as common as brick. We've rescued an incubus from a breeding dungeon. Literally *anything* can happen. This is a social game and the players tend to hang out in a separate OOC chatroom between sessions where we talk about the game and other stuff. Participation in that OOC room isn't mandatory, but welcomed. We've been on a little hiatus due to some real life issues with one of the DMs but are ready to get back into it... we just have to replace a couple of the players who have gone on to other things in the meantime. https://app.roll20.net/lfg/listing/10142/planes-brains-and-automatons If this hasn't all scared you away yet, come send us a message!
I am up to join in on this campaign. I am sure I can be available on skype either at home or from my phone, but with my phone I will be unable to use roll20 to do Dice rolls. bump for interest. Still looking for one more player.
This sounds exactly like what I'm looking for. I've been out of the tabletop game for a while, have a little bit of experience with 3.5 but I love heavy roleplaying and immersing myself in a narrative more than anything else. Prior experience is mostly with AD&D and Vampire: The Masquerade. If you don't mind offering a bit of guidance to someone rusty with the 3.5 rule-set, I'd love to be a part of this!
I've actually been looking for a game in this timezone since I have other games over the weekend and this sounds like it could be up my alley, especially with the heavy roleplaying focus. I have a ton of experience in a ton of systems, but I started with D&D 3.5 and I'd love to get back into it. Is there any room still? I'd love to talk about the game and how it runs. Thanks.
