The Wild Sheep Chase “When the party’s attempt to grab a rare afternoon of downtime is interrupted by a frantic sheep equipped with a Scroll of Speak to Animals, they’re dragged into a magical grudge match that will test their strength, courage and willingness to endure baa’d puns. Will our heroes be able to overcome a band of transmuted assassins and an extremely bitter apprentice packing dangerously unstable magic items? There’s only one way to find out…” I’m running this game for small groups of friendly, adventurous, mature players who want to try their hand at this classic, whimsical Winghorn Press one-shot. Bookings will be first-come-first-serve, but I’ll keep running this one shot for whoever wants to try it. Here’s what you can expect: About this game: Time: Saturday, December 12th, 1:00pm EST. Why pay for a session? Quality, maturity, care — You’ll get roleplaying, pretty maps, soundtracks, and a standard of player behavior that weeds out anti-social, nasty or combative players. Ultimately, I run D&D games because I love to run immersive and high-quality D&D games, and bring those games to as many people as I can. Weeding out no-shows — I prefer running small groups of 3-4 players so that you can have time to shine, interact with the team, and occasionally step into the spotlight. Reserved spots ensures we get the small, committed party we need for a solid crew. Production value — I love an immersive layout, and running paid games allows me to put those extra hours of prep time into fleshing out beautiful battle maps with dynamic lighting, custom landing pages, a selection of pregens and a hand-picked soundtrack. I never run a module out of the box without dressing it up. Material costs — Roll20 memberships, hardcover books and digital tools cost hundreds of dollars. Small fees help me cover the personal costs of putting the games together. Terms, warnings, assurances If the game is cancelled in advance, you will be refunded any paid deposits. Any racism, bigotry, homophobia, belligerence or bullying will not be tolerated. Murder-hoboing, harassmnent, Any of these kinds of behaviors will result in a swift kick out of the game with no refund. No metagaming! Have you read the PDF of this adventure before, and remember most of the details? Maybe skip this session, and send me a message about some other one-shot I can run for you instead. I practice and include the use of standard TTRPG safety tools — if you have any lines, veils, or otherwise have certain explicit themes you do not want included in your games, please let me know privately. I will accommodate you and it will have no bearing on your application. The games I run should be a safe space for roleplaying, creativity and collaboration. If you feel I’m not doing my best to uphold these standards, please let me know! Who is Jack the DM? I’ve been running Dungeons & Dragons games for over 10 years across various editions. I love telling great stories and putting player characters at the center of those narratives. I like to use one-shots to teach the game, test out new encounters, and find quality players for longer campaigns. I’m new to Roll20, but am putting maximum effort into mastering the tools so that I can create seamless games. I’d love to hear your feedback, and can’t wait to see you at the table! Mandatory Disclaimer: This game will require payment to the Game Master at a rate of $5/person at start of each session. Roll20 is not responsible for any payment transactions and cannot enforce any private arrangements.
